I'm not sure if it's realistic for the Browns to have an opportunity to upgrade the LT position with their lack of picks + the amount of money they've already committed to Watson and internal players + gaping defensive holes. But if they somehow can, I really hope they do.

I don't think it's an option.

I think the best path we have for improvement at the position is Jedrick improving.

He'll look better with better QB play. Not saying Jacoby has looked bad but better QB play will hide a lot of deficiencies on the O-Line.

Just because Watson doesn't take the sack that Brissett takes doesn't mean Jedrick plays better.

Casual fans might be happier because there are fewer sacks, but I'm looking for Jed to improve his consistency. He has all the physical tools to be elite--it just seems to be effort and consistency with him. Sometimes he stonewalls fantastic edge rushers. Sometimes he gets absolutely clowned on. Sometimes he looks lazy and uninterested in the run game. Sometimes he looks like Trent Williams out there paving the way.

I need Jedrick to improve Jedrick.

I will be interested to see what we do with Conklin. Probably not realistic, but I’d be interested to see what the line looked like with Wills moving back to his more natural position of RT and finding even a similar replacement at LT. Maybe with Conklin off the books it can be done. Not really sure who could be available that’s a competent LT.

At this point he's played more LT in the NFL than RT in college.

I don't think changing his side would be productive.

We already saw one dramatic upgrade in QB play from 2021 Baker to 2022 Jacoby. It's been the same old Jed.

He needs an elite QB to play above average?

You're in for a rude awakening if you think Watson will be taking less sacks.

It’s the weird combination of enough tape to clearly show he has elite talent, and enough tape to scratch your head wondering what happened there.

He’s at worst passable, but slightly worried how possible fairs when Bitonio eventually isn’t to his right.

I think Watson will take fewer impactful sacks.

There are a ton of first and second down plays where Brissett just ate the sack--where Watson escapes.

If Deshaun is running around trying to make a conversion happen on third or fourth down and the result is a sack, instead of just an incompletion, then I don't care. A turnover is a turnover.

Not all sacks are created equal.

I’m pretty skeptical Wills outlasts Bitonio here.

I really don’t think we will be the team to give him his next deal

And that is precisely why we take PFF's grades, particularly for offensive linemen, with a grain of salt

So in your opinion, from watching the game, did you think yesterday was Jed's best game of the season?

I certainly didn't
