Totally different player. DeVale was a SPARQ warrior. Bryant is a production guy, was really bad testing (outside of straight line speed)

He needs to grow in to his frame but I imagine he was selected over some of the other TE’s mentioned, in part, because he shows effort and attitude when blocking.
He will have immediate value in the passing game and could grow in to being an every down TE.....something I think few of the other top guys had a chance to do.
