2020 NFL OFF-SEASON THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would love some opinions on here. Was just arguing with my buddy about the Bucs this coming season (if there is one). I'm of the opinion they'll be good not great. I just have some questions about what will happen with Brady and this first season without Belichick along with age catching up a bit. Also, who knows how healthy Gronk will be. I should say, my boy is a pretty big Brady stan and he's not trying to hear a word i'm saying. Would love to hear from some of you because many of you know your shit . . .

As Jack said, he has one of the best WR tandems in the NFL, currently 2 TE's that are serviceable/good. However, a few things to keep in mind:

- Tom Brady is getting older. Will he be playing for insane stats or try and be smart/error-free and win 1 more SB? Also, how good is Gronk actually going to be? People are throwing out insane numbers....let's get real.
- Mike Evans game was basically letting Winston air it out and Evans being a monster-of-a-man just get it. How will he be with Brady?
- As Jack pointed out, RB is a concern. Is Jones going to carry the load? Is Vaughn going to help out? Duo? Teams could potentially stack the back and force them to run. Who knows how that will turn out
- Their defensive front is pretty insane. Run-stopping son'a'bitches. But how will their secondary fair? They are a big question mark. And if they start dropping players back, then they may pick up the run/dink & dime em to death. It will be interesting to see.
- I am not saying this is going to happen but this will 100000% be brought up the first very bad call in favor of Tampa Bay - the refs "playing for" Tampa Bay. What a story it would be for the NFL to have this "super team" be formed with Brady leaving NE to host and win a Super Bowl in Tampa Bay.

That's pretty much all I got. One (well 3) fun things will be happening this year with TB. Brady & the Bucs have to face Chiefs, Saints, and Packers - of course all at home. So you would have to assume a week 1 matchup will happen with one of them. Hopefully the Chiefs.

The Athletic's Ed Bouchette believes it's "not likely" that the Steelers re-sign contract-year WR JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Smith-Schuster had a flat-out stinker of a 2019 season, his first as the Steelers' top dog out wide. He was unable to stay healthy, and the quarterback play was shoddy at best after Ben Roethlisbrger went down in Week 2. But JuJu also didn't elevate his quarterbacks, leaving many to wonder if he can truly be a No. 1 wideout in the league. With a big bounce-back in 2020, JuJu could price himself out of Pittsburgh, and it might be too late for the Steelers to keep him at that point. Smith-Schuster badly needs a rebound season.

Get rid of Jarvis and upgrade to JuJu after next season.

Hard to believe that there were 6 QBs in the first 36 picks in the 2011 draft, and the only one currently on an NFL roster is....Blaine Gabbert???

[This is not intended to get into a debate about Kaepernick.]

Edit, looks like Dalton to Cowboys; 1-year deal.

Quincy Enunwa out for the year.

Again.

Dude is good, but injuries have ruined him.

That is hilarious.

3rd Round pick.

2nd round pick actually.

Not a surprise as they picked up Marriota (sp) to backup Carr, or even compete with Carr. Kizer will probably land a backup job somewhere.

Never liked Kizer as a prospect, I remember a lot of teams congratulating the Browns for picking him, but mental processing in the pocket is one of those things that is there or not there by the time a QB is in the NFL. I was done with him when he looked off his first option and put his head down, running over linebackers for a first down in a preseason game.
