2020 NFL Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
ESPN tweeted that they looked through yesterday’s scenario, and while the situation happened over 2000 times since 2006, there has never been a cover zero call.

I feel like that stat is wrong. We watched Gregg do that here at least twice. I've seen teams do that quite a few times the last few seasons.

It doesn't matter though. The groupthink has taken over and people have already made their minds up that Trevor Lawrence is the next great QB that's worth all of this tanking when he's not even better than Justin Fields.

I just don't see it with Lawrence. I don't see an Andrew Luck caliber prospect that you just sell out for.

In the specific scenario, no. Gregg dialed that up, I can remember against Denver, before. But not in a 1 score game with that far to go, with that little time left.

I don’t see in in Lawrence either. Luck had all traits and the talent in the world except for one. Heart.

I appreciate Alex Smiths story. Kudos to him.

But there isnt a more vanilla, non-threatening quarterback a defense can face.

The Steelers look remarkably beatable.

I really think we are going to see a different result the last week of the season than we did in their first meeting with the Browns.

He needs to be on the roster as atleast the backup the next 2 seasons. You have to hope he finds his form again, but this is handcuffing in the NFL as wasted cap space, the Eagles really only have one option, hope he improves or hope Hurts plays like a starter in the very near future.

Also shows the importance of protecting your investment by putting at least a serviceable line in front of your qb

I honestly think Philly's lack of weapons and line have broken Wentz at this point.

He needs a change of scenery. Not sure if thats going to be in the cards at this point. He's looking down the barrel of Tannehill's early carer. He'll get another shot to prove himself somewhere else.

Imagine if the stands were filled with Philly fans.
