2020 NFL Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
50th anniversary of MNF.

My guess is they also wanted to see how much the rating would increase to be on ABC. Lack of content right now most likely made it a easy decision to put it on even if it's just once this season. If it goes well I could see them asking the NFL to allow them to put more on this season since all the networks are hurting for content.

I think the NFL doesn't like the perception that they aren't being safe. It also one of the reasons why I think we don't see many shots of fans. This could also be to deflect some of the bad press from how many guys got injured this week.

Gruden called a brilliant game last night. Carr cannot/does not want to throw long, so Gruden created a gameplan that used one receiver as a pure speed threat to attract the top cornerback (Ruggs), a runningback who is good in pass and rush and consequently improves play-action, and then simply freed up the top tight-end in the middle of the field.

Stefanski will need to do the same thing that Gruden, McVay, and Kyle Shanahan all do with sub-par/slightly above-average QBs, at least until Baker proves he is more than that. He did it against Cincy, hopefully we see a repeat against Washington FC.

Just came to post this. Sweet jesus lol.
No wonder the team is insisting he is still the starter, even though the rookie came in and played as good as Tyrod ever has.

The jokes coming out of this are going to be epic.

Oof.

I used to think the Manning family went way overboard on steering Eli away from the Bolts in 2004; now not sure.

Drew Brees arm is done

If I’m NO I’d be tempted to kick the tires on Wentz this offseason. Philly just spent that pick on Hurts and I can’t imagine him sitting for several years.

Ever since Wentz got hurt during that Super Bowl run (when he was playing like the MVP) it has seemed like he hasn’t been that well liked in Philly. Their OL has disintegrated this season and might be better off getting pieces for Wentz and building around Hurts. They’d also get out of his contract which jumps next year.

They might have no interest in trading him, but it definitely seems odd they’d spend such a high pick on a QB after committing that kind of an extension to Wentz.

They have Jamies Winston on a sweet deal already.

Seattle deciding to let the second-best QB in the NFL throw, a lot, is a league-changing decision.
