2020 Off-Season Rumors/News

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
With regard to a potential Angels deal, you’re certainly not getting Jo Adell. Don’t think you’re getting Fletcher either.

Package of Brandon Marsh and Luis Rengifo is about what I’d consider as a ceiling.

Ton of really good young guys in that system too, but not sure they’d be looking toward talent at that level.

I would just hang onto Kluber and hope he builds back up his value if the Angels won’t offer Fletcher.

Step one seems done:

Angels now have Fletcher and Rengifo ready at 2B

Indians will certainly be interested in one.

Trout and Rendon in the same lineup is pretty remarkable. If Adell reaches his ceiling, that could be a top of the lineup for the ages.

Don’t forget that Tommy La Stella is still there too.

Though that being said, we have one of the highest rated TV so I think some of the job losses in the area over the years plus the annoying parking situation and tickets prices that keep going up are also a pretty big factor as well. I mean on the cheap end, on a non-promotional week day it’s around 110 for 4 people per game plus food, so make that at least 150 per game, then if you come from Canton add another 10ish for gas in a good vehicle so tell me how the average person can afford to go often?

Those prices seem a little steep.

Park at the JACK and plug your card into a machine for 30 minutes to get free parking.

For $15 you can get a district ticket that includes a beer. Fair to call it $17 or $18 with fees. Or you can buy a seat through a third party site for around $12.

Best to eat outside of the park if you are really trying to keep costs down, OR you are allowed to bring in food in styrofoam containers, plastic bags, etc... which is even cheaper

If you were focused on the lowest amount possible, it’s totally doable to get a game with food for around $20 per person. That’s as cheap of entertainment as you will find, especially in a city.

I should’ve went to school to be an agent.

Agents aren't getting paid a quarter of a million to strike out hitters.

Is this money guaranteed?

Something is very wrong with this world.

well I was just looking at 20 for a ticket (i cannot stand nose bleeds and I don’t drink any alcohol lol) then parking can be bad if you don’t know your way around Cleveland (my family isn’t from Ohio to begin with)

My point is a family of 4 from outside of Cleveland is going to normally pay about that per ball game. It’s about right anymore for someone who doesn’t know the ins and outs of finding the cheaper way of getting tickets and where to park for cheaper.

Boras makes 5% of the contract money that is negotiated when the deal is signed, although I'm not sure exactly how that gets paid out.

Heard on the radio that he's already made like $80+ million this offseason between Cole, Rendon, Moose, and Strasburg.

Also has Ryu and Keuchel to go. He might hit 100 M in one off season for himself.

There is a $10 lot very close to Progressive Field, you can bring in snacktype food if its sealed and sealed bottles of water (I believe empty bottles are ok as well). Just need to buy 4 tickets and 4 hotdogs for the family. Merch obviously drives up your visit but dont pander to your children and buy them everything.

The ticket price is where I have an issue. We have all seen the reporting comparing how our affordability ranks compared to others and it on the high end. Sure you can buy secondary seats but not everyone does that. I think if they implemented a savings program where you brought 4-8 tickets it would be helpful. District is fine for me and the wife but if a kid is involved we need an alternative.

I will also say the team really needs to draw in groups around Cleveland. Group and corporate sales would defiently help.

The Indians have Key Bank kids tickets which are $15 ea with purchase of an adult ticket

My fiancée tried buying 16 tickets to a game (big group) for my birthday last year. They wouldn’t let her purchase online, told her to call. She called and they told her to just buy 8 and 8. That type of shit they need to correct as well.
