2020 Offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
some of those shot attempts look a bit Jordan clarksonish but we could do worse for our final roster spot, see how he goes if he is kept on to compete for it

Could it be the Cavs are looking for insurance for KPJ in case of suspension, or more trouble?

Thank GOD we traded for another guard. With only 23 other guards on the roster I was starting to get concerned.
In the past week, I’ve heard we have a logjam at both the wing and guard spots. If this were actually true, we wouldn’t be one of the worst teams in the NBA.

it’s only a logjam of you have too many good players. Sexton’s probably one, but by my count, that would bring our total to one. Let the rest of the guys battle with each other and earn minutes.

So to me, his game is a little like rookie Sexton.. high energy, aggressive. Not always in control. Handle seems good, and he is high speed for sure..But choices seem risky..

He makes a lot of contact, and draws fouls.. Deep bench, garbage minutes guy to keep the fans from falling asleep? Not sure about his defense...

I think the trade was more about an opportunity to buy a future 2nd round pick on the cheap and we had to take the player to get the pick. I wouldn’t put Tucker’s odds of making the team any higher than 50%.

Was thinking the same thing; especially since his deal isn't fully guaranteed (expiration date is the end of this month, I think) and Koby isn't likely to pick up the rest of the guarantee.

The guarantee date is 11/29. I wouldn’t be completely surprised if Tucker gets moved again, possibly to a team that wants to reduce their tax bill. Non-guaranteed contracts hold value in today’s NBA, as we saw with Bell & McKinnie.

One other thing to note is the Cavaliers press release refers to Tucker as a forward:

I'm surprised, the NBA gave the Cavs 25 minutes of highlights...lol.

Drummond and Tristan should have gotten more highlights...imo

I hadn't seen the trade with the Bucks. Removing those protections is probably bigger than people think. Their future with Giannis is uncertain. By the time 2022 comes, they could be one of the worst teams in the league. Huge trade, & we got an extra second out of it? Wow!

We literally got an unprotected first round pick out of George Hill!

KPJ has some Latrell Sprewell in his game... He has some of the baggage also, hopefully he matures faster and get his head straight...

Guy reminds me of Celtics and later Cavs legend Kedrick Brown.

From the article:

‘Tucker is likely to be waived before Nov. 29, when his contract becomes fully guaranteed. The two sides, however, could work on amending the guarantee date over the next few days, which would allow Tucker to compete for one of the Cavs’ final roster spots in training camp.’
