Lauri's been a pleasant surprise and hasn't been exposed defensively at the 3. And the size is certainly a problem for other teams.

I don't know if he's been good enough to obviate the need for a more traditional 2-way wing but we've got the rest of the season to collect more data.
I would say this I much prefer Lauri on this team than nance

I always thought Nance was a bit overrated here, I really liked him but his body language was not always great and he tried to do way too much on offense. Also thought he gambled to much on steals which lead to him being out of position more often then not. Think he's a much better fit as a 7th/8th man like he is in Portland.

Hornets are better than a lot of people think. I watch the Hornets and the Cavs and trying to be impartial, I would say the Hornets are better than the Cavs
So who would probably end up ahead of the Cavs if we suffer no more severe injuries? In no specific order...
  • Bucks
  • Nets
  • Heat
  • Bulls
  • Hornets
  • Sixers
  • Celtics
Thats some pretty stiff competition and that leaves Atlanta out, who were in the conference finals...how probable are the playoffs right now?

Bulls have come back to earth a bit. IDK about Boston.. Weird about Atlanta right now. They seem to have lost it for some reason

As of this morning the ESPN BPI odds put it at about 2.4% and final record at 34-48, though the Cavs have consistently outperformed the odds and their stats don't really tell their story, so I think the odds are better than that. Right now I'd say that they are probably about 50/50 or better for the play-in if they stay relatively healthy going forward. The ESPN projections have the Wizards as the last play-in team at 42-40 and that fits with how tough and even the Eastern Conference has been thus far.

IMO if this Cavs starting line-up has their health a big part of the rmaining season, i see Cavs going to the post season. In series there, we will miss Sexton's shot creation, but through the regular season and the schedule that will get easier for cavs the longer season goes.... With a good health, its a winning record.

I'd put the Bucks, Heat, Bulls, and Nets ahead of us. I think we will battle with the Wizards, Hornets, and Sixers for the fifth and sixth spots, but we can also play with any of those top teams if we are healthy. We are one of the few teams that will get better as time goes along.

I think this Cavs team, if healthy, can make the playoffs. And I don't see them being an easy out either, just by the nature of our defense and the mismatches our bigs create

Cavs are one of the best teams in the league. They have been shockingly consistent.

Jarrett Allen and Darius are playing like Allstars. Lauri is giving us most of what Sexton would but while defending wings.
This is wild.

It's mostly youthful mistakes. This tuff schedule has hardened these guys

Mavs played a very soft schedule and get a lot of favorable calls

Garland isn't playing like a all star. To many turnovers and poor shooting.

Too early to call, but if this "Lauri at the 3" thing continues to work... man. Talk about a gamble that paid off.

Imagine posting what you just did in the preseason. After that first preseason game
How this team has gelled is incredible and it is not a fluke or hot streak
Mobley and garland will only get better
Allen is proven legit
Lauri seems like a player who has found a home finally
Okoro is taking baby steps but is showing some promise
It’s been 20 games and it looks like cedi gets what he is now
Rubio, rough patch here or not provides stability
And Love has a perfect role and produces a ton in 18 mins a game
Just a fun ass team
