They win this if coach plays better rotations. Cavs missed their top of the break 3s and knocked down their corner 3s.
Garlands bad game was a result of congestion inside the arc that could give been alleviated or solved by having the correct lineup combos on the floor.
Cavs got fucked with every minute okoro spent on the floor. In this particular game they needed as much spacing as possible.
They played a spacing lineup and got beat down the floor repeatedly. Once they had Cedi in there, they spaced pretty well and they couldn't stop the Bucks.
I don't think it is weird that the Cavs lost the 2nd night of a back to back after coming within a single point of the Jazz the night before and left it all out there.
It's totally fine to blame Okoro for getting hammered at the rim, but Bucks are great defensive team and they haven't really lost since they had the normal lineup even without Lopez.
"your 2nd year player got shut down by the NBA champs"
so what? They shut down our pg who has been playing like an allstar and they broke the 3 pt defense the cavs have been playing too while putting up 112.
These are the games they let opponents score 112 or over
First 2 games against Grizz and Hornets at 132! and 123
then after that
Lakers 113 loss
Brooklyn 117 Loss
Phoenix 120 loss
Bucks 112 loss
They let Charlotte have 110 the 2nd game but still won that one. Otherwise nobody scored 110 even.
We just got a wakeup call in the past 2 games that similar sized athletically skilled freaks to our own starting frontcourt don't give us the same advantages we have over most teams.
You are putting it like it was a binary thing. Have Okoro in and lose or put someone else in and win, but you could see the defense fall off a cliff once he was out. Cedi missed his shots, Darius missed his shots.
It really became obvious when Giannis just iced the game at the end. We didn't have the offensive talent to win that game. They are the champs.
Sexton might have made a difference because Jrue would have been on him. We didn't have him.
Teams with good coaching and super powered offenses can still beat the Cavs. It is no mystery. Cavs need to learn how to beat these teams. They haven't yet. Experience and vet savvy among opposing players and coaches is the difference right now.
THe thing to be encouraged about is JB is capable of looking at film and making adjustments. HE has beaten
Washington
Charlotte
after losing to them previously. We've only been swept by the Suns during their 17 game streak. One was a blowout and the 2nd came down to the wire.
Mobley hasn't even done a single circuit on the NBA and Okoro has done 1.
They had a chance, couldn't hit their shots, and got beat by Giannis. It has happened to every team in the league.
