But your last line very true. Mobley was by far my favorite prospect in this draft, not a close 2nd for me and Mobley has looked better than expected this early.

It was a head scratcher to me why Mobley wasn’t taken more seriously for the first or even the second pick. Like, fine, Cunningham is intriguing, Green is a scoring 2-guard, good all-star potential, but I wasn’t seeing the superstar ceiling that Mobley has. Cunningham had great stats but didn’t seem to dominate good teams in college, he didn’t play well in the NCAAs at all

Everyone knows it takes longer for bigs to develop, and i get many teams burned over the years so the thinking has changed...Oden over Durant, Bowie over Jordan, Darko over Wade and Carmello, and the list goes on,....so bigs are a bigger risk and take longer to get your return, but when a big works out, they are dominant, Hakeem, Duncan, maybe Durant (7 footer), AD, ect

Barring them taking on some quality vets in a salary dump or making moves like ATL made when they added Gallinari and Bogdanovic, it could easily be another 2-3 years before theyre even decent.

Whereas I think there are scenarios that 1-2 moves done well by the Cavs in this coming offseason could result in an above .500 season in Mobley’s second season.
