Lakers without Lebron and AD looking real ugly, down by 20 to Charlotte just after halftime

They made a deal with the devil in the AD trade and sealed it with the Westbrook one. Without those trades, growing organically, they could have had a lineup of Lebron, Brandon Ingram, Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, Caruso, Josh Hart, and whoever they took with the 2019 4th pick — say Darius Garland, or Tyler Herro. Hell, they could have tried to keep Julius Randle too

They did get one championship out of it but now they’re fucked…
And as I have said before….it’s in the record books but I have A MAJOR * next that title! Won in a bubble…..nothing special about that title!!

Let’s not even count it….

Motherfucking Morey is gonna take this shit to the offseason where he's gonna trade Simmons for Harden isn't he? And I'm sure there's no back-channel tampering going on, right??

In a perfect world, Morey wastes a career year from Embiid by waiting until the offseason, completed a Simmons-for-Harden swap, and the NBA grows a pair and actually brings the hammer down on Morey for tampering while also disallowing the trade, forcing Morey to settle for twenty cents on the dollar for Ben. Oh, and then Harden opts out and leaves Brooklyn anyway while the Nets also get penalized for tampering with Simmons. One can dream.....

Considering the Cavs play Philly 4 times the rest of the season and maybe in the playoffs, I'm just fine with Morey holding onto Ben Simmons and giving Embiid no additional help.

Shai injured for most of the rest of the season. Is it me or he is injury prone
Aw man there go their chances to make the playoffs.....

Does he really have a concerning injury track record though? I haven't really paid much attention to him.

He had plantar fasciitis for quite awhile last season.

Raptors playing Heat pretty tough right now, good game. Sadly, looks like Jimmy Butler sprained his ankle.

Edit: He walked it off and came back in.

Embiid worked on his ball-handling last offseason and turned himself into a unicorn. What a season for him.

Brooklyn is in a precarious position - no KD, Harden & LMA injured, and of course part-time Kyrie.

Huh.

Its as if Karma has issue with a team that benefitted from a player lying about his physical condition to force a trade.

Brooklyn is one of the most obnoxious super teams ever constructed, just in the manner of their creation and the players they got. Hoping they never win a championship. Looking pretty good for that possibility. Would be hilarious if after constructing this big three all three were never on the court together for more than a few games.

With that said -- if all three are fully healthy for the full stretch of playoffs, watch out. Even Kyrie and Durant together would be a huge challenge.

The biggest change for Embiid this season and last season vs prior seasons is that he’s decided to do exactly what Shaq and Chuck told him to do: Dominate. Every night.

Joel early on played hard when he felt like it. Part of it was coming off injury but mostly he just wasn’t serious. Now he brings it every night without fail. It’s attitude, and he has it.

We’re spoiled this season because our Rook had that attitude from Day 1 and most of our team has it as well. Then I watch other teams play and it’s obvious a lot of players just don’t care.

Whats funny about this is Shaq was notorious for not trying 90% of the time. When he wanted to he was the most dominant ever...he just didnt want to often
