We have enough productive players that provide leadership on this team. We don't need an unproductive one.

I am mostly joking to be honest. I believe we do need another veteran on this roster with experience, but not sure if Pujols' experience would help the other players enough to overcome his actual on the field output.

Pujols was worth just 5.7 fWAR during his 9+ seasons with the Angels (-3.3 fWAR since the start of 2017)

I was just looking at his career stats on BR when I noticed the Angels paid $240 million for 12.8 WAR, Cards paid $104 million for 86.6 WAR.

They forgot trash cans don't rotate the defense for them! The pitcher needed to not be a spectators and the catcher should have just stayed at home, but he was aware enough to see no one was at 3rd. Though the biggest mistake you can make it make sure no one is at home...

afternoon we decided to go see the Giants workout. At that time they had workouts
at a community college in Scottsdale.

Not to pile on too much, but Jose is probably the best thing a young player could look up to right now.

One of the best hitters in baseball, worked his ass off for what he's gotten, key kog on a world series team, record setting team, etc.

Fuck Pujols at this stage of his career.

The only reason to bring in Pujols is to have that weird footnote on a HOF player in 10 years like, who was the last team Pujols played for, most would say Angles, forgetting he played in 20 games for the tribe and got 35 AB's in that time.

There is no baseball reason to bring in Pujols, he is very done.

Funny thing is back then I owned a townhouse where I fought the HOA over a wall of mine that was hit by a neighbor. This was about 10 years ago. The board had 5 people on it, one of those people was the head baseball coach of Scottsdale Community College. We fought for a year, the guy was a complete asshole, so I actually have a connection with their baseball program, lol.
