2021 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They've never been good. It was a perfect storm for them to beat us...our defense was at its lowest point in the history of the program, Stroud was injured, and Henderson hadn't been established yet as RB1.

Rematch today and Buckeyes win by 20+

This is not even really debateable at this point.
At the same time it’s very questionable on if Oregon will continue with only 1 loss. As long as they dont go into the tank, that loss shouldn’t sink us.

Shouldn't be a concern unless they completely fall off a cliff.

Hell, I hope they lose a 2nd game so they have a worse record than us.

Iowa bout to blow their shot at the Playoff. Spoilermakers chose wisely.

We need Oregon to lose a second game, because I don’t know how the committee justifies a 12-1 OSU being ahead of a 12-1 Oregon who didn’t even have their best player.

I could see 1-loss Oregon, 1-loss OSU, and undefeated Oklahoma joining Georgia while Cincy sits in the cold again. But yeah, it'd be much easier if Oregon just biffs it one of these weeks.

Yea that's not the loss we needed.

Think Purdue is decent though. Like 7 win team.

They’ve done it before. But I could see them pussying out this time.

They haven't.

The most egregious ranking I can think of was when they put 2 loss Georgia ahead of 1 loss Ohio State in 2018, when everyone knew Ohio State was truly the 3rd best team in the country that year.

Gene Smith was on the committee that year and quit because of it.

I thought you meant the committee had put in a team who had lost head to head to a team but had the same record.

Fucking Purdue, man.

Most of those wins are against Ohio State, too.

It's so amazing that these stats exist that I can't even be mad. And it's their history of pulling this shit that made that Kenny Guiton comeback especially good.
