Georgia got their crack at Alabama and lost. The end. This happened like a month ago and nothing has changed. At that point in time Georgia should have been eliminated from the conversation.
But instead we are watching the same two teams play again. 100% the rules need to change.
The thing I never really understood about these scenarios is what exactly is the upside here?
Is it only if Georgia were to win convincingly?
What if Bryce Young gets hurt and Georgia wins by 1 or something?
We are then supposed to believe that Alabama going 1-1 against Georgia with a +16 differential doesn't make them the best team?
The matchup would be compelling to me if Georgia lost in Tuscaloosa in week 3.......then ripped through the rest of their schedule.
But we are literally 1 game removed from Alabama outclassing them on a neutral field and then we are just doing that again?
The whole system is so much more compelling if there are more teams and things like on campus round 1 games.
