I know what smokescreens are, and I know teams can purposely put out bad information for various purposes. That's not my point.
My point is when you say things like "they know other front offices get info from message boards like this", you're using the rhetoric claiming you know what they do, just like some RCFers and guys like Evan who claim to have their sources. How do you know they know?
My other point is, if this is the info put out by the Cavs as a smokescreen,
It doesn't add up.
- How is it that only 2 guys in the entire basketball world (RichieRichPaul on RCF & Evan Dammarell) "heard" about Okoro going against Kuminga/workout going bad?
- Why would they feed these unknown individuals of all people that info if the purpose of the smokescreen is to get it out there?
- How is it that only 3 people in the entire basketball world (RichieRichPaul on RCF, Evan Dammarell, & now Jordan Zirm I guess) "heard" about Mobley working out for the Cavs?
It was a long time ago but someone creditable, maybe Windy or Wine and Gold said he knew opposing teams were reading this message board because they were basically just saying exactly the same stuff that was coming up on here. If I remember right it was brought up in one of the chats that was organized but I'm not 100% sure on exactly where they said it.
On your questions, they could all be getting their information from the same person or the same chain of people. The Cavs might not be directly leaking it to the reporters. It could be two or three people out so the details could get mix up in the process. The Cavs might have given the Okoro part or Mobley working out to a specific person so they can weed out their leaks.
