Eric Longenhagen mentioned the need for and expectation of improved prospect status with additional velo and movement, especially on his Cantillo's curve ball in a FanGraphs article.. He even went so far as to guess that Cantillo may eventually become the best prospect delivered to the Indians in the Mike Clevinger trade (Arias is.. but)... Trevor Bauer touted the work done at DriveLine w/r to the increase in velocity by honing mechanics.. This could be another one of those collateral benefits from Bauer's presence on the roster oh so long ago...Mentioned this earlier in the year, this is a stuff building year for Wolf. Stats aren't a big deal to me.
Velo is up, movement is better, sequencing is better than it was earlier in the season. Organization wanted to clean up his arm action and mechanics to gain those. Next year the reigning in process begins and stats will mean more. But the goal for him coming in was specifically the first 2 mentioned.
If @AZ_ made personal attacks and attempted to bait other posters like this, he'd be serving another ban.My observation is that it's absolutely accurate that this board roots against certain prospects and roots for certain other prospects. It's not unique to this board. That's a very natural human tendency to have favorite players. But folks here clutch their pearls when that observation is pointed out to them. AZ is but the loudest offender in this regard.
Every time an Oscar Gonzalez, Bobby Bradley, or Bradley Zimmer comes up, these same folks are constantly scanning the menu of statistics which support their belief that excitement about these players should be tempered. So no matter how much you'd like to claim you aren't rooting against these prospects, your post history simply says otherwise. Be honest about it, at least.
It is exactly what I've said from Day 1. OGonzGOAT, BradGOAT, and Zimmer are for baseball rubes like me and statman. People take themselves too seriously on here and rooting for an Oscar Gonzalez as a baseball fan for them is like claiming Applebees is fine dining. I get it. It is what it is. Meanwhile, OGonzGOAT continues to do nothing but rake.
geez marty - what if his signing an autograph for you sets back his rehab? think about the team for once! This is a question for Bimbo perhaps - is Tyler Freeman with the ball club while injured? Looking for an autograph if I can get to Akron.
I have a friend who covers the Ducks for a website...fwiw, he has not seen Freeman lately, and believes he is likely in AZ.This is a question for Bimbo perhaps - is Tyler Freeman with the ball club while injured? Looking for an autograph if I can get to Akron.

Thanks for that!I have a friend who covers the Ducks for a website...fwiw, he has not seen Freeman lately, and believes he is likely in AZ.
Bimbo, when you get a minute, could you post what you think are the organizations top 10 SP prospects? If it isn't different from most sights then don't waste your time. I know Espino is the talk, and rightfully so, but I can't help but think that Torres and Vargas could be similar even if not equal. I also see Morris, Hankins, Williams, and even Wolf with TOR potential. I see all of Cantillo, Battenfield, Pilkington, Nikhazy, and Burns as solid MOR SP's. Am I wrong?Cantillo has looked amazing for a few months now. Will be fun to watch him vs some better competition, he was killing AAA hitters earlier in the Spring. Should hopefully be a short stop before Columbus.
