Have you watched Mobley yet?

Only his highlights from yesterday. But he definitely doesnt look out of place in terms of build, which was his biggest question. I was surprised, expected a stick but he's far from it.

His game is so smoooooth though, and nice passing.

What caught my attention was he was clapping every time a teammate made a play with encouragement even if it had nothing to do with him. You don’t see that at all with high level one and dones sometimes.
Yes his leaping ability and burst are not his strength but I don’t think they hold him back from being an all star. Luka is an interesting comparison, and perhaps not a crazy one to make. I think Luka is more skilled and more advanced, but I don’t think Cade is drastically behind and will have way more defensive potential.
I think he will be hard to pass up at one for any team if he continues to show a jumper and ability to finish in traffic. Wings who can play pg and create for others and get a bucket for themselves are worth gold in the modern NbA.

I don't dislike him as a prospect. It's just that coming into this game he'd been hyped as a clear #1 pick, and now I'm doubting that a little. Not doubting that he's a high lottery talent.

As for the Luka comparison...Luka at the same age was putting finishing touches on MVP seasons in the Euroleague and ACB league. He could've outscored UT Arlington by himself. There's no comparison.

I'm not sure it does. I got a free trial and it didn't have the Gonzaga game running. So I might just terminate it. Argh.

I don’t discount this at all. Prospects just aren’t going to have Luka’s professional credentials prior to the draft. It is more of a skill comparison for me. Luka doesn’t have vertical athleticism, he can be clunky at times but he still succeeds with IQ, passing, gear changes, great feel for the game, his effectiveness on or off the ball, good shooting form that leads you to believe there’s more there, etc. Luka isn’t a great ball handler, but he is an exceptionally good one for 6’8”. To me, Cade is the same.

I’d imagine if you put their frame, athletic measurables and scouting reports on the table, there wouldn’t be a whole lot of difference.....just blindly looking at them. That was honestly like a B- game for Cade. But I think that all the ways Luka succeeds will be the ways Cade does......and if people believed in Luka being a potential star, there’s really no reason why people then shouldn’t think Cade can be one as well.
