I'll just say it, if Porzingis had stayed healthy Dallas would have won that series.

Really hope that the Mavs didn't put 100% of their cap space for the next five years behind the wrong partner for Doncic. That would be Lebrons-first-run-with-Cavs level of incompetence.

Toronto pulls out the win vs boston, good game, double OT.

That game was an insta-classic. Raptors are a very likeable team with great character, lost an all time great player from last year's team and still ferociously competitive.

Boston would probably also be a likeable team if I wasn't so predisposed to hate them.

They have a max slot next year. I think Porzingus was the right move, but similar to Kevin Love in terms of getting banged up. Of course Porzingus has more worrying injuries because he hurt the same knee again.

Mavs pretty much have to score in free agency because they don't have a lot else to work with.

Good news the the Mavs is that they really need defense, not offense. And it's much easier to get defense on the cheap.

I don't think they have a max slot -- https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/DAL.html

Agreed, real exciting game. Hope Toronto wins game seven but not expecting it. Maybe if Pascal shows up better.
About boston, they've won more than their share so I always hope for them to lose. But they do have a real nice group of players.

Am I reading it wrong that will have max cap after Hardaway expires? I guess we don't technically know how low the cap will go, but they will have significant money.

Hardaway has a player option for next year, not sure why he would drop it?

Soon they will have to max out Luka too, need to sign their next big FA before that

I heard every home game has been lost in this series so far? That would never happen outside the bubble.

The Lakers are the best defensive team in the playoffs when they are locked in. Their role players all have limitations in their games but all of them are at least competent to very good defenders. And LeBron and AD have both been elite defenders this year.

Lebron looked creaky in the pre-playoff bubble games, but now he is rounding into playoff shape and benefiting from all that rest.

Lakers-Clippers is going to be fascinating, the Clips also have a claim to being the best defensive team with Kawhi-PG-Beverley

He should be getting more touches.

He should? He's already taking more shots (per-minute) than any Nuggets player other than Jokic this series. And at 54% true shooting he's not exactly setting the world on fire. Given that, I think it's pretty ridiculous for him to come out publicly and say he deserves more touches.

For what it's worth, he's also last on the team in assist rate (in this series and in the playoffs overall). He has talent, but his me-first personality is a big issue.

He should be getting more action because Murray is clearly hobbled with an injury right now. I think they should try to lean on Porter a little more.
