2021 NBA PLAYOFFS MEGA THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
These power tripping refs suck ass. It was funny when Duncan got ejected for giggling on the bench but these guys have a thinner skin then Shaq and turn too many games with their zero tolerance for physical play. Get these idiots some proper training Silver you hack

Javale McGee out there in crunch time with the season on the line…. Love this….

Yeah, the pandemic excuse only goes so far. Refs can't still be rusty at this stage, making big calls with the benefit of video review. You just can't blow that call.

I don't even understand the "wind-up" part.

Of course he wound up. He was trying to knock the ball out of his hands. You need to hit the ball with some force in order to do that....I mean..what??

Don't understand Campazzo going to the bench with 5 minutes to play. Looked like he still had gas in the tank.

I don't think Malone has coached a good series and I like Malone.

Denver was lacking energy and hustle from game 1. McGee needed to be inserted into the line-up sooner. He's been solid tonight.

Chris Paul is honestly playing the best ball of his entire life right now. Crazy to think. He completely dominated that series.

Now, he had it easy on defense. Nuggets didn't have the ability to make him truly work on that end.

But they've gotta be the favorites right now.

Suns are 70/30 wining the West imo, short of CP3 reinjury. But I do think whoever wins the LAC vs UTA series, takes the Suns at least 6 games. I don't see a healthy Nets, soon enough to get past this fired up Bucks team. This is ATL best chance to sneak into the finals imo. I doubt they have another wide open window like this again. Assuming Embiid is limited now. But neither ATL or Philly are beating the Suns in a 7 game series as is. I would love to see a Suns vs Nets finals but can't see it going down now.

My real issue is they just aren't actually legislating out the truly dirty plays.

Chris Paul yanked on LeBron's arm in round 1 on purpose, knowing full well what he was doing.

They didn't even call a foul.

Jokic gets 90% ball and the side of his arm catches Payne in the nose and he's tossed out of the game.

It's funny because people give LeBron shit for flopping. LeBron's playing checkers when these other guys are playing 3D chess. It's not enough to just embellish the contact, you gotta act like you're grievously injured afterwards, and you have to keep it up for more than just a few seconds. Then they'll go to the monitor and call the flagrant.

Last night Paul George literally flopped trying to get Clarkson tossed out of the game.

They had just giving Clarkson a flagrant because his finger brushed someone in the face or something, and the next play down when Clarkson had the ball with GEorge on him, George just stopped playing because CLarkson's elbow may have ever-so-slightly brushed George somewhere in the kneck.

He does this whole flop and he holds his neck and I was amazed the officials didn't instinctively call a foul.

But it was obvious what he was trying to do. Get Clarkson a second flagrant and tossed.

It's one thing to legislate some of the hits in football out. Guys are legitimately getting hurt and having their lives completely ruined from CTE.

That shit ain't happening in the NBA on almost any of these plays. THey're getting bruises. This is just becoming silly.

The Nuggets have to be hating themselves for that Aaron Gordon trade.

I get that he's supposed to be their 4th best player and w/o Murray his weaknesses get magnified..but he's done absolutely nothing this series on either end.

He's gonna need a big bounce back season next year.

Hating themselves? Nah.

It’s not like the trade harmed their chances this series or negatively impacted their window. Gary Harris (sucks), RJ Hampton (years away from contributing), and a protected 2025 1st. Worth it.

You said it yourself, the team dynamic took an insurmountable hit with Murray’s injury.

btw, height of the suns starting 5 - paul: 6'0, booker: 6'4, crowder: 6'5, bridges: 6'6, ayton: 7'0. that is not a tall line up at all.

Him and MPJ both got exposed when they were forced to be the 2/3 guys for Denver, but they were beyond excellent as their 3/4.

The AG move was a great one. Elevated them to a true title contender, if healthy. Unfortunately, the losses of Murray, Dozier, and until recently, Barton, proved to be too much for them to handle.
