2021 Season | Series #45 | Indians @ Twins | Sep. 14-15, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So we have 5 strong starters going into next year right? Quantrill and McKenzie are coming into their own to join Beiber, Civale and Pleasac right?

Morgan and a couple others will stick in AAA incase of injury, but we look like we have a great starting lineup? I know probably talked about, but i messed it....figured good night to talk about how strong Quantrill and McKenzie have been the last 6-8 weeks
Solid 5 without a doubt. Yeomen's work was done by Morgan, Mejia, and Hentges, but some(including myself) would suggest that Cody Morris is primed and ready to contribute. He may be the very reason someone like Plesac could possibly be dealt. Not too far behind him are guys like Battenfield, Pilkington, Cantillo, LT Allen, Burns, Curry, Hankins, Vargas, Torres, and the crown jewel of them all.........Espino. Williams, Nikhazy, and Mace are advanced college arms that will likely fly through the system. Yeah, pitching shouldn't be an issue going forward.

Say what you want about Bradley’s K”S but 13 homers and 36 RBIs in 200 abs is pretty impressive
And his trend is up.

In June and July he hit .201 with a 41% strikeout rate. In August and Sep he's hitting .269 with a 33% K rate. For the season he has the third highest OPS on the team.

He needs to improve against LHP's (.175 BA), but he's been going to left field against them, like that oppo double last night, and I expect he'll be better next year.

I want to see what he can do with a solid three months of playing every day.

Bradley is in the driver's seat right now for 1B going forward, I think we all hope he takes off with it...

Sort of mostly agree...

Bobby B needs to continue to work on his game.. but what we've been seeing is clearly a step in the right direction. His defense around the bag, picking throws in the dirt, stretching to reduce the time the ball is in flight... etc.. have all improved as the season has worn on.. His power stroke is there.. he's even going the other way from time to time.. more contact and less rolling over is needed on the offensive side of the game..

but, nothing is given or permanent in baseball.. driver's seats are adjustable for the next guy coming for his job...

The thing is who else do we have at 1B in the organization? Brooks, Marabell may be the closest to the pros at the current moment, but they aren't getting a big league look in Cleveland, otherwise our next prospect is Noel... This is his biggest chance to make it on this team honestly...

You can divide Bradley's season into three parts, all consisting of almost an equal number of at-bats.

A huge June when he was first brought up: .254/.954 in 71 AB's. A very bad July: .143/.640 in 63 AB's.
August and September: .269/.746 in 67 AB's.

The last two months the home runs have fallen off (2 in 67 AB's) but the batting average is up and the K's are down.

I don't think Bradley's June numbers accurately reflect what we can expect next year (.954 OPS). He's not that good.

He's also not a .143 hitter. But the .269/.746 he put up over the last two months with no dramatic ups or downs? This looks like it might be where he is right now. If he plays every day next year I'm optimistic he can hit .260-.270 with 30 home runs and an OPS in the .800 area.

The numbers that impress me the most are these:

Runners on: .288/.910
RISP: .326/.975 !!!
RISP with two out: .444/1.267 !!!

This guy is nails with runners on base, especially if they're in scoring position. He's 8-for-18 with RISP and two out.

He's only hitting .188 with the bases empty so maybe he needs to pretend there are RBI's to be had when the bags are empty.

We have lots of 1B'men..

Naylor, and Jones might end up there too although I don't think it's ideal positioning
