2021 Series #21 | Orioles @ Indians | June 14-17, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I cant thank this comment enough. Bradley has dropped 30 pounds or so and has lowered his fat content probably by 40 pounds. Amazing hard work through a pandemic.

My only issue with Bradley is he might need to button one more button on his shirts, lol
Keep your fantasies to EAYOR

And you need to keep your fantasies about Bradley to EAYOR as well since you know you don't like his shirt open since you don't want to admit you wanna see more haha

It just looks weird to me to be honest. But if he keeps hitting like this, i dont care what he wears, lol

We are in a perfect scenario for the situation we are in...our kiddie pitchers getting their feet wet against lesser offenses.

The offense is beginning to come around.

I love kids who are selective at the plate, put the ball in play, and are willing to go the other way. Right now we have a bunch of them.
1. Tito is being forced to use guys like Nelson and Stephan and they are responding. The injuries to Bieber and Plesac could help us in the long run.

2. The offense is really coming around but let's see what happens against better pitching than the O's can offer. We were lucky to miss their ace, John Means, twice due to a very well-timed injury.

3. Amen to going oppo. Bradley with an oppo HR (with an assist from a fan) and Naylor with another double into the left-center field alley. Sweet.

I can't believe anyone would even take the stance that Bradley was "fat". He clearly focused on improving his cardio and it shows, but I'm not sure he dropped more the 25-30lbs. BB is a big dude. Not in the sense of height, but he has a strong, muscular build. Compared to who he replaced he's a godsend.
Compared with Reyes, Bradley is svelte.

The yutes came through across the board today. Bradley with a home run, Clement with a walk and an RBI double, Hentges with 3 K's in a scoreless inning against the heart of their batting order, Nelson with 2/3's of an inning scoreless, and Chang with four RBIs and a great defensive play. Stephan pitched 1.2 scoreless innings and struck out three of his five batters.

The only exception was Morgan who gave up 3 runs in 3.2 innings but still had 5 K's and looked good except for two hanging sliders that got taken deep.

When you add in Lavernway's two hits and Zimmer's one that's a lot of contributions from guys who wore Columbus Clippers uniforms recently.

This is exactly what the Indians need to keep pace with the rest of the A.L. leaders; contributions up and down the roster. It was great to see Eddie finally get his first home run at the Prog.

I don't want to get too excited about a sweep against a team that has lost 19 straight on the road, but there's a lot to like from what we've been seeing lately.

Who needs Reyes, Plesac, Bieber, Berto, Cesar, Karinchak, and Clase anyway? Not the Indians. Not today.

Trevor Stephan in his last three appearances: 4.2 IP, 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 8 K's. He might be starting to get the hang of this pitching thing. The thing that impressed me most was the 20 strikes in 27 pitches. He really went after them while changing speeds and location effectively.

In fact, the bullpen threw 61 strikes against 24 balls, so they were all very aggressive. No walks and 8 strikeouts in 5.1 innings. It was great to see the whole staff neutralize Mullins after he went 9-for-12 with 3 walks and an 80% on-base percentage against us in the last series.

I'm really happy for Bradley, button or no button. It certainly seems like he's turned a corner. We obviously need his run production.

Didn't realize he'd put on all that weight, so good on him for losing it. When I saw him in Columbus in 2019 from a couple rows back, he just looked bulky. He's a big dude.

Something about the name Ernie Clement conjures up images of someone who would be wearing knickers and high socks in the 1920 World Series.

He fits the style of play from the era as well...

We actually beat John Means the first go around, we knock him out in the first inning , he left with sore arm, but that after we score a couple runs……

I'm aware of that but the point is he left with a dead arm in the first inning when he normally goes 6-7 and he still wasn't back this week so we missed him both times except for part of one inning. And now we're done with the Orioles for the season. We caught them at a good time with their best starter out when we should have faced him twice.

Now we're catching the Pirates on a 10-game losing streak. The schedule continues to be kind while we're waiting to get Bieber, Plesac, Reyes, and Berto back.

I hear you but I think they caught us at a good time, more so then we catching them at good time, and they weren’t able to take advantage of it……The Orioles miss Bieber and Plesac twices……Not to mention Reyes….

Can’t believe we won 5 out of 7 with 5 starters not going more then 4 inning against them…..Dam that a bad team
