yes - and from above - a couple of my buddies have wondered if he makes it through the season, much less manage next season -- fingers crossed
Right let’s completely ignore he missed most of last season due to a variety of serious health issues. :crazy:

Yeah, before I get cocky I want to see what happens over the next 2 weeks. We come out of those series on a pace to win 101 then I'll be doing my dance.

We start the week in first place...in spite of all the moaning and groaning about who plays first base and centerfield...and who leads off.

We are in first place, because our rotation and pen have been outstanding, because we haven't made many mistakes on defense, and because we have run the bases extremely well.

If we keep those three things up, we will contend.
 
What's our magic number?!
154 to guarantee at worst a tie (KC has the same number of losses). Of course we play KC a bunch more, so we both can’t win out, and I’m not sure how to take that into account.

There's also that little thingy about leading the majors in home run percentage. 24 of 37 runs have come on home runs. We're using the old Earl Weaver formula of pitching, defense, and power.
