2022-2023 NBA Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kings just beat the Warriors easily in the 4th. Sabonis dropped 26-21-8 on Draymond's dome. They blitzed Curry and watched everyone brick in the last 2 minutes. Mike Brown is decent for this scrappy club.

The fact that we didn't try to blitz with our personnel is just pathetic. Our defensive scheme is doo doo. It is masked by Allen and Mobley.

Great Avdija is starting to roll with Beal out. Wanted to buy low.

He has really looked good with the ball in his hands. Beal was warming up before the game and there was a part of me that was really hoping he wasnt playing so I could see the Avdija/Porzingis show continue

Sneaky good with Barton coming off the bench and the wildcard of Kuzma complimenting those two

I'm taking calls on Beal asap if I'm Washington. Veterans and FRP's. I'd take a package just less than what Minny gave for Gobert even.

Maybe Cavs can grab Barton at the deadline?

With that said it looks like "ROY" Scottie Barnes is having a bit of a sophomore slump too along with Mobley. I think it's just part of the one step back, two steps forward type of progression that happens with young players though.

If Mobley had Barnes' handles and jump shot, he would be the best player on this team right now. Barnes' slump doesn't make sense to me. I think his knee is jacked up.

Just got to see the Wiz in person a few days ago. Deni looked really good moving the ball and moving without the ball. I was impressed by him. Don't love Barton. He is a solid shot creator but took too many 2s for my liking and was getting regularly blown by on D by Josh Green. Rui looked good but his shot profile doesnt match what we want.

If I could get one guy from the Wiz, its Kuz. He would slot perfectly for us at 3, but the price is probably too high. I dont think a Cedi/Okoro/Windler/2nds package is enough for him

I like Kuzma too but agree the Cavs just don't have the assets to acquire him even if Washington did put him on the trade block. Maybe I'm wrong but I believe he will be a FA next offseason but Cavs won't have that type of capspace.

Was Deni ever available? He played pretty well in the second half of last year.

That Wiz team is a clusterfuck though. Whether they trade Kuzma or not, they definitely have a trade or two in them. Interesting to see that they’ve won four straight with Beal out and Kispert starting in his place.

OKC leading Boston 35-32 after one. This would be Boston's first L since the Cavs game.

Scalabrine: "They (OKC) don't look like a team tanking. Very far from it."

They remind me of last season's Cavs. Just a bunch of young talented guys flying around and balling with house money.

Celts made a little run at the end of the 3rd, but OKC is still up 96-89.

OKC's baseline cuts are killing the Celts.

Well frick.

OKC couldn't quite hang on.

Boston hit a couple of key threes at the end and forced a number of TOs in the 4th that led to fastbreak buckets. Derrick White in particular really took OKC apart during that stretch.

Great kind of game for OKC though, staying competitive the whole game with a team like Boston. Better execution will come in time with this type of experience.

Thunder are very fun so far this season and play with great tempo and movement.

SGA is magnificent and can score on anyone, even Boston double teams.

What type of money do you think he’ll be demanding! I don’t see him as a max type player?
