Is there any reason robin Lopez should have a job over Dwight Howard? Is he that much of a good room guy? I feel like Dwight even at his old washed stage could still dunk and block some shots. Which is a lot more than robin can do.
There’s a reason Dwight is overseas and no other team picked him up!

Bickerstaff tells the Cavs to protect Garland.

He’s been hit in the face a lot,” Bickerstaff said. “I think it’s our responsibility and all of our responsibility to make sure we’re protecting him. That’s us, that’s the people on the floor, that’s his teammates, we have a responsibility to protect all the guys. I do think there’s an emphasis from opponents to be physical.”

Sounds like a job for Robin Lopez.

That last part was interesting. It sounds like JBB is saying that opponents are deliberately taking shots at Garland. We do have something of a finesse team with guys like Allen and Mobley up front.

This man watched his All-Star PG get elbowed in the face and fall to the floor in pain about five feet from him. He decided to ignore it and play 4 on 5 for almost three possessions while DG rolled around in pain.

If all goes perfect I think a realistic goal for our franchise should be
  1. Win a series this year
  2. ECF next year
  3. Finals birth in next 3-4 years.

Jimmy Butler is back and the Heat beat the Celtics in Boston in OT. Butler had 25 points and 15 rebounds. But the Heat only got 11 of 120 points from their bench. They pretty much went with an 8-man rotation. I'm not sure if they can maintain that for the rest of the season. Kyle Lowry is 36 and he played 39 minutes at point guard.
Wait, coaches who are considered good to great use 8 man rotations in games against top competiton?

Very interesting

Only if they have no other choice. Butler is 33, Lowry 36, and they're both averaging 36 minutes per game. They might be either injured or fried by the playoffs.

Dean Wade is expected to be out two more weeks according to CBSSports.com.

The downside is that our best lineup, in my opinion, is with him starting at small forward.

The upside is that this gives Stevens, Okoro, and Diakite more minutes to make a case for starting or being in the rotation when Wade returns.

Diakite works because of Wade's shooting. With Lamar its more iffy.

Okoros had enough minutes the last 3 years

We’re lucky the schedule over the next 2 weeks is easy, so we should be alright without Wade. It doesn’t really pick up until the Bucks game on the 21st.

Grade 3 ac sprain will take longer than that. Basically a separated shoulder.

Grade 3??! that's terrible. Is it left or right shouldeR? if it's his shooting hand then it may affect his shooting quite a bit as it throws the mechanics off. Grade 3 may require surgery, so...

Lol, why the heck did he even play when his shoulder was bad to begin with? JBB..let me tell you. It's so strange that his players tend to suffer from so many injuries. It's just bad injury management in this case.

I saw him take a hit and hold his shoulder but he carried on playing for a while. I imagine adrenaline might have a role to play
