I think we can start ramping down the minutes once (1) 3rd place in the East is out of reach (could be as early as tonight) and (2) home court in the first round is assured. This could be by Friday.

Three spot still in play. Philly owns the tiebreaker (2-1) so the Cavs have to end up with a better record than Philly - no tie.

If the Cavs go 6-0 - would need the Sixers to go 4-4
If the Cavs go 5-1 - would need the Sixers to go 3-5

Both scenarios are unlikely - but in play. Especially since Philly has:
@ DEN
vs DAL
vs TOR
@ MIL
vs BOS
vs MIA
@ ATL
@ BK

I don't see Philly going less than 5-3 here, especially after having just lost 2 straight. But we'll see.

Meanwhile Cavs:
@ ATL
vs NYK
vs IND
@ ORL
@ ORL
vs CHA

Cavs 6-0 is feasible but it's hard to beat everyone you are supposed to beat.

That being said, regardless of seeding, I'd love to roll into the playoffs on a 10-game winning streak! But I don't think the team pushes for that unless Philly keeps losing and the 3 spot remains in play. Rightfully so.

I'd rather play Milwaukee in the second round because Boston teams make me irrationally angry. If we're not good enough to beat Daddy Giannis then it is what it is.

For the first round, I'd prefer we play New York because I feel like Mitchell will put on a fucking show. Nets would be cool though because their ticket prices might be within the realm of possibility for me.

I hope they don’t ramp down anything. This team has very little playoff experience, go in with the engine revved all the way up. You can start fiddling with minutes in a few years, not now.

I was not suggesting games off. Just limit starters to about 30 mins.

and i would rather the cavs win a championship.

I dont give a shit if the cavs only end up having to play the knicks, hawks, raptors and thunder to do it.

I just simply dont understand the idea that the cavs should want to play the better teams earlier

Buddy we don’t have any real say in the matter.

If I could choose anybody to play in Round 2 then sure, give me a play-in team. I still understand the competitive mindset of wanting to beat the best.

I'd love to find a way to sneak into the #3 seed for obvious reasons..

But being in the 4-5 matchup where our young guys get to experience playoff basketball at Madison Square Garden, that will be special also!

We are better than the Knicks. We just need to stay healthy the rest of the regular season and then get the job done.

Cavs got some cool futuristic dynamic camera highlights.

Really going for that "We're living in a simulation" vibe.
Great stuff! Real plays, real highlights, but for some reason, I find it easier to focus on the play. The changing camera angle probably helps.
