@BimboColesHair what was the market for Bryan Shaw? Thanks.
What did you say your sources were again? Nothing?
Yeah, that.

Soto would have muddied our waters.Nationals demanded he be included in any Soto talks but Guardians** immediately hung up
Would Bieber except a Joe Musgrove 5/100 type contract,I know he a homegrown player for the Padres @BimboColesHair

He’s from EL Cajon California……25 minutes from downtown SDMusgrove isn’t homegrown.
Pitched for the Astros and Pirates before ending up in San Diego.
He took a discount but I don't think anything outrageous. Robbie Ray and Kevin Gausman are decent comps and last year they received 5 yrs $110-115mAll that I remember hearing on mlb tv was how much of a discount he took just to stay in SD. His ERA went from 4 range down to 3 ... He likes the sun evidently. It's kind of like Jose just doing his 20 or so million.
Now, that is what Bieber can expect from Cle but if he continues to pitch well, it will still be taking a discount (but as Bimbo says ... one more IL stint for him and he may just jump at it).
"Homegrown player" typically refers to someone drafted or developed by the organizationHe’s from EL Cajon California……25 minutes from downtown SD
Homegrown vs. Hometown.. Bill James covered this at length."Homegrown player" typically refers to someone drafted or developed by the organization
But yes, Musgrove is a San Diego native and was a massive Padres fan growing up.
Okay okay I use the wrong terminology he’s a hometown kid…….hahaHomegrown vs. Hometown.. Bill James covered this at length.
Yeah but what about Jim Bowden's trade ideas articles for The Athletic? I hear that stuff is gospel around the leagueI've sat in on trade calls. They aren't bringing up "Jonathan Mayo says this" or "Keith Law says that" or citing a guys FV. It looks exactly like a draft room, scouts pounding the table for their guy and the decision makers trusting that apparatus.
He's working himself back in to being an asset in high leverage situations. So, karinchak has 11 appearances now. His whip isn’t bad at all, his walks are terrible, his K:bb is slightly better than last year. Waht are we thinking about him?
Almost Ogonzzz again. Settle for the deep runscoring double to left centerOscar is OGonzzzzzzz!!
