I dont see Chang and Bradley on the team for the entire season.

I see Miller playing almost every day, but not at any one position. Right now he will play 1B and 2B, but he could end up playing both COFs, too.

Do you think Clement is safe if Miller is the utility? I like Ernie but they have to manage the roster.

That the core.

Leaves room for Ernie as the game util if Miller is playing 1B and as a RH 2B. It also leaves room for Mercado as the 4th OF/platoon bat vs lefties.

Twelve total.

If (when) somebody goes on the IL, we have Arias (inf), Palacios (OF), and Lavastida (C). Everybody is on the 40 man, so no need to make tough decisions after Chang and Bradley, who can be dropped to make room for the inevitable pitchers.

The only way we have a roster crunch is if the FO still wants to hang on to one of Chang or Bradley.

I don't think it's fair to lump Lavastida in with those windmills yet. He's got a good bat and if he would get any consistent playing time would probably be a pleasant addition to the lineup.

Based on what? 4 AB? That's just silly. Especially when you look at his minor league numbers. Dude can hit, but he won't if he only gets to play every 5th game. Even the best hitters would suck in that scenario.

There's a reason Tito is giving him ALL THOSE CHANCES.. Tito is a good manager.. A good manager's job is to field a team that gives them the best chance to win..

There is no reason to have Naylor nor Lavastida in that list since they haven't had enough time to do anything... There isn't any ifs ands or buts about that one..

Not sure that is fair. Chang 7 at bats, Lavastida 4, Bradley 4, Naylor, 3. Those arent allot of chances, not a huge deal. combined 4 of those have only 18 at bats.

Hedges? 19 at bats, more than the other 4 combined. Not even the same realm
