2022 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh, no, totally.

Would be immediate comparisons to Wilson’s success every single week.

For what it’s worth, Wilson is my fifth WR. There are terrific fits for Wilson, but I don’t think they’re here.
It still exists.

Bell is my fifth WR in a class where I firmly believe 12 go in the first two rounds.
Well which one is your fifth DJTJ?

Anyway, I have a little bit of time on my hands and have started looking at draft prospects.

Ever wanted a dude who plays exactly like Baker Mayfield? Well let me tell you that Kenny Pickett is your man. Including the same proclivity to roll right when there is no pressure in his face!

Firmly, 5/6. I guess you could say I flop. :chuckle:

1. Burks
2. London (if Baker is the guy, London is my number one by a large margin)
3. Olave
4. Jameson
5/6 Bell and Wilson
7. Metchie
8 Wandale
9 Dotson
10 Doubs
11. Tolbert
12. Shakir (I’m big, think he’s a great slot)

But if I could have Wilson or someone else and one of 7-9, I’d take the second.

Pickett kills me too. He rolls back out of so many clean pockets and just makes throws so much longer.

I was bored at work and started looking at some film of some of the top wr’s. Burk is absolutely at the top of the board. Big, strong, fast. Makes great catches in traffic. Kinda reminds me of AJ Brown. Williams is another guy that I’m really high on. He is electric with the ball in his hands, same with Olave. I would probably have them both at 2a &2b. Wilson I would put at 4. Tolbert is a guy I’d keep an eye on. Very quick, adjusts to the ball well, has no problems creating separation.

Breaking a clean pocket is not nearly as big of an issue if a QB is actually athletic :chuckle:

Yeah, you keep saying that, I'm not sure how athletic he really is, to be honest.

I've always really liked Olave but I haven't watched the others enough to say. If there are 5 WR prospects in this draft who are better than Olave it's an insane WR crop indeed.

I see it didn't take long for the "Garrett Wilson is too short" takes to pop up.

Can't say I'm surprised. Reminds me of the "Michael Thomas is too slow" takes from a few years back.

I just hope the Browns do the right thing and don't draft another Walmart greeter like Corey Coleman again.

Oh, no.

If you think Baker has no idea how to navigate, Pickett is worse. Unlike Baker, Picket rolls backwards, trying to pull of Rodgers/Mahomes shit. Pickett throws some of the most ridiculous throws that are so easy if he just stayed in the pocket.

I was being a little facetious for what it's worth.

Better tester than functional you think?
Maybe. I think he's functional, but I think it's more quick than fast. Which, to his credit, is very similar to Baker.

He's not like Corral, who thinks he is Barry Sanders and gets crushed all the time. But I definitely don't see someone who is going to threaten with his legs much in the NFL other than scramble every now and then.

To be honest, I wish Carson Strong were more athletic. What a fucking arm on that dude but he also has cement in his feet.

Pickett’s athleticism is similar to Rodgers, but he thinks he’s Lamar.

I know the Browns had a heavy interest in Cedee Lamb and have a need at WR but I have a hard time seeing the Browns go WR in the first round -- just doesn't seem to fit the philosophy of this front office.. Now if they see one of the WRs as an one-of-kind guy, then they may opt for it but I don't see that to be the case.. I think they take advantage of the deep WR class and get one in the second..

Looking at the roster heading into next year, defensive line is really the spot that needs to be rebuilt.. I see them addressing that early..

There seems to be a lot of secondary talent so while they've invested heavily over the last two years, wonder if they'd be tempted..

I would be a fan of drafting another great defensive lineman. I just think we don't enough from the other guys to help Myles. Won't be mad if we WR, but if this class is that deep? Get your guy a bit later in the 1st with a trade up or in the second. Won't be mad if we do go for a WR. I just want to see this defensive line dominate.

In my opinion, not a very strong DL draft from the pass rusher standpoint. I think it’s a better iDL year, but not that there’s like… insane impact there either.

The big three DE all will go top ten, and I don’t like a single one.
