It essentially says he has had 37 total innings in his college career...
Good.. what an arm !..It essentially says he has had 37 total innings in his college career...

It's not difficult.. Slot plus or minus... sign and fast track.. This isn't a guy who will ever go long stretches on the mound.. that arm delivers gas and a slider that is more than well worth the risk.. Arms like that flame out fast.. but if you can get it to the show fast.. you can exploit the returns.. That's what this guy brings.. a chance to be a HIGH leverage reliever within a short time from his draft day.My point is, he has barely pitched... His potential is crazy as hell, but it's hard to put a high pick in baseball on someone with an injury history and being a red-shirted Junior...

Better chance for that than perhaps as many as 96 % (or more) of the "safe" picks you're advocating for...
Ohhhhh yeah. Give me DeLauter in Round 1 and Ben Joyce next. You can keep your toolsy MIF prospects in the 2020 draft where they belong. How are Tucker and Valdes working out?
Hint: not well
Chase De Lauter would be an absolute steal for the Guardians picking at # 16.. This kid can play.. Most of the mocks have him going earlier.. as early as top five.. but, there are factors that make draft picks fall and other rise at their expense..Ohhhhh yeah. I'm going to make a batch this week with 5 lbs of cheap chicken thighs using this recipe as a guide. Here's a recipe for chicken soup:
Ingredients
Ingredient Checklist
- 1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds), cut into pieces (including back)
- 8 cups water
- Coarse salt
- 3 medium onions, thinly sliced (4 cups)
- 2 celery stalks, sliced crosswise 1/4 inch thick
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 6 medium carrots, sliced 1/2 inch thick
Directions
Instructions Checklist
- Step 1
Bring chicken, water, and 1 tablespoon salt to a boil in a large stockpot. Skim foam. Add onions, celery, and garlic. Reduce heat. Simmer, partially covered, for 30 minutes.- Step 2
Remove breast, and set aside. Add carrots. Simmer, partially covered, for 40 minutes.- Step 3
Remove remaining chicken; discard back and wings. Let cool slightly. Remove meat from bones, and cut into bite-size pieces.- Step 4
Stir in desired amount of chicken; reserve the rest for another use. Skim fat. Season with salt.
Collier is 17...and won't be 18 until the season is over.. he's very young.. He can also play.. and could be there for the Guardians at # 16... He won't be there for their next pick..My first 5 round mock:
16 3B C. Collier - JuCo
37 RHP J. Campbell - Oklahoma State (or Harrington)
54 RHP T. Harrington - Campbell (or J. Cannon - Georgia)
92 C B. Neal - HS
121 LHP T. Dombroski - Monmouth (or P. Hansen - Texas)
151 CF Tres Gonzalez - Georgia Tech
Hitting the age angle hard here, as both Collier and Neal are extremely young, I believe both reclassified and have 2023 HS draftee age. Both solid hit/approach profiles despite their age, so ample of upside, especially with power for both. And both with good defensive projection too.
Harrington is rising fast, also very young/class, crazy K/BB, only 9 Er in 10 starts. He and 6'7 Campbell have MOR upside with 4 pitch arsenals of 50 or better with at least two pitches above average or better, and both with good command, so BOR floor is high. Campbell also relatively new to full time pitching, something they like too. Both could be probably gone by pick 54, so Cannon is my backup plan, an SEC performer who checks a lot of the same boxes with maybe a tick less upside.
I just want Dombroski, probably won't last to 121, would take him in 3rd and maybe Neal, who needs overslot anyway in 4th. Hansen as fallback to Dombroski. Both LHP, both BOR with middling now stuff, but eye popping performance and size/stature to add some velocity/wrinkle (cutter/splitter) and take off.
Same with Tres Gonzalez, big conference contact bat with more BB than K (Kwan)
I was just talking generally. My mock didn't have a MIF... lol
