2022 Game #9 | #2 Ohio State @ Northwestern | November 5th, 2022 @ 12:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Team is just sitting around pouting. Show some leadership, coaches.

The downfield passing game isn't gonna work. So, scrap it.

Again, I feel like this should be obvious to just adjust in game and not wait until half-time.

Am I crazy in thinking that this first half and the last first half should have been reversed? THIS is the game where we should be throwing endless bubble screens and not throwing down the field????

Even with the wind, you're not gonna complete much 20+ yards down the field.

You saw that punt, wind carried it another 15 yards. No way to throw bombs with that.

Three things are certain in life, death, taxes and OSU playing like shit in the rain.

Nope, totally agree. I’m bewildered by Day’s stubbornness in trying to throw 30 yards down field when the wind is carrying it an additional 10. I literally do not understand; I guess in a press conference you just say “we have to keep them honest” well if it isn’t hitting no one is staying honest. I dunno

I never understand that Ohio State gets caught off guard by a windy or stormy game almost every season. Check the weather report and expect that the weather won't be great at some point in the season so have plays installed for it.

If they don't want to run Stroud, create misdirection with multiple RBs and screens/sweeps to WRs.

I will say, this actually might the one drawback to recruiting so many guys from the South where good, warm weather is the norm.

We, again, look like we don't know how play in bad weather.

All throws need to be line drive type throws. You might wanna think about using McCord a little for some running from the QB in the 2nd half.

Can Ryan Day fire Stroud for ruining a perfect season? Bc Stroud is the only one hurting his Heisman chances today.

NW isn't even attempting to pass against the wind.

So if it's this bad, we better figure out how to run the ball, and fast.

Strouds refusal to run has also really cost us this games. Every time he scrambles out of the pockets there’s 5-10 yards he can gain

Was thinking the same. QB has to be able to help in the running game in these conditions or you're playing 10 against 11 on offense.

I mean he's not a runner.

It's like saying Tom Brady's refusal to run costs his teams games. Ok. But that's just built in. He doesn't run.

If you're not good enough to beat them physically, you have to trick them. It's about time Day opened up the playbook.
