Love the physicality of the east playoffs. I keep imagining the cavs having dg/sexton/levert/mobley/allen playing this kind of gritty defense and take your turn offense. Cant wait to see the cavs in the playoffs with our young guys.

Had 4 turnovers in the 4th. Miami defended him well.

With how Butler is playing at the moment, I think Miami is capable of beating them with Herro. Bam would definitely need to play better, but the Warriors are weak inside.

I'm not sure about Boston though. In theory it seems like they could beat Golden State, but GSW is pretty well suited to defend Brown and Tatum. I think Bam and Butler is a much tougher matchup for them defensively. I think Spo's experience gives them an edge as well.

That's a sign of a great player.

Tatum needs to work on his ballhandling in the offseason. Way too loose with it when he's being pressured.

I think the “Jimmy Butler not being good enough to lead a team” discussion has been over since at least 2020. Unless possibly this knee inflammation issue is chronic like DWade’s was. Then he could be permanently downgraded as a player

I don’t see this whatsoever. We don’t have PJ Tucker/Marcus Smart type gritty physical defenders who shine in slugfests, or Butler/Brown type offensive battering rams. DG is fragile, Sexton is small, Levert is skinny and lacks any consistency at making shots in traffic, Mobley can be tough but is kind of skinny and undeveloped, and Allen can be a bit soft. Okoro is supposed to be that kind of player but is not assertive or skilled enough. Lamar Stevens seems like the closest we have to that kind of player right now lol.

I think after a playoff war or two our big three will develop more of these gritty qualities (I think DG is almost there, just worried about injury) but they aren’t there yet

Jimmy Buckets had a game like he did in 2020 against the Lakers. He'll need to do it again in Game 7 and Adebayo and the other guys for Miami will have to play better.

Lol. Really?? Boston is easily the more talented team. This is a classic example of defense and sheer determination winning out over talent. I’m just so impressed by the heart Miami is showing.

Jimmy is so good. He might not be a top 10 regular season guy but absolutely top 10 playoff performer. One of my favorite non-Cavs.
