2022 NBA Finals

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Technically the Sixers chose Al Horford and Josh Richardson over Butler. Still looks like a terrible choice though! To think Philly could easily have had both Jayson Tatum and Jimmy Butler but instead ended up with a bunch of crap not even on their team any more! Some process lol

In fairness, the consistent terrible moves all happened after the NBA forced Hinkie out in 2016 and the Colangelo's proceeded to mess up every move for about 3 seasons. Not an problem with the Process if the clown car after you proceeds to GM like its 1995 and is comically bad at their jobs. Find another slant

Sure but Hinkie being forced out is a logical result of the “process”. If you tank too long you’ll eventually get booted

Anyway the bottom line is that you can accumulate a shit ton of draft picks through extreme tanking but it is still easy to fuck up the numerous critical personnel decisions it takes to become a championship contender. The Sixers did at least get themselves in the conversation, I guess that’s a win. More than the Wizards or Orlando etc etc have ever done

If it was fan pressure or ownership that forced him out, I agree. But it wasn't. Adam Silver didn't like that Hinkie figured out how to solve the system and booted him out. It was pure intervention from the NBA and absolutely disgraceful.

Free Hinkie.

Though I don’t trust Jimmy to be someone to carry you to a title — his throwback style is my favorite in the league….

My only issue with him (and I’m not talking about recently with the hamstring but over the course of his career) he has monster games and then lacks aggression for a few games in a row…I don’t trust that as a #1 star guy…. Otherwise he’s fantastic…

Lol. Really?? Boston is easily the more talented team. This is a classic example of defense and sheer determination winning out over talent. I’m just so impressed by the heart Miami is showing.
People often forget that defense is just as important as offense. And good coaching improves both. Basically, this series has been Boston's superior offense against Miami's superior defense. If Miami has a good offensive game or Boston a bad one, Miami wins. But the defense of both teams is pretty constant.

I remember Jimmy having great games against Lebron in 2018 and 2015 in the playoffs. That was the last time he and Rose were paired up.

Makes you appreciate Lebron’s consistency. Outside of the 2011 Finals he has very rarely had actual bad games in the playoffs. Just consistently in the good to great range. If he only had a “good” game that usually wasn’t enough in the later rounds, as his supporting cast was generally inferior

How is Boston "easily" more talented?

The best player on either team is Jimmy Butler and he's been criminally underrated on this board for years and continues to be.

There's very little daylight between Adebayo and Brown. Smart and Herro? I'd take Herro.

Both of these teams would be the least talented teams to win a title in quite some time if they were to do so.

Oh yea !!! There’s gonna be some major fuckery tonight….

No Mike Breen tonight…. Was hoping to get a “way off” at some point tonight…
