You have to use words like this to even accidentally say them. If the race was different I'm sure people would want the hammer because of just that, that word is hanging up in his closet.

Possibly. He may also have meant to say jigaboo not knowing it was a racist term for blacks.

I could picture a situation where he heard his mom or grandma say it to/about a group of kids and thought it was just a silly word and re-used it every few years. If that was the case, could you picture friends of his laughing at it and not telling him it was racist?

I can. Groups of people do that amongst each other and laugh.

I also just don’t really hold everyone in the world responsible for knowing every racist term there is. If the dude thought that was a racist term, I can’t imagine he’d be saying it on natty tv.

That’s how I feel about it.

He seems genuinely horrified by his own actions. I would love if people would leave each other alone in situations like this in the future, regardless of race if they don’t have a history of it and don’t do it again.
