Yea don't get me started on this starting the clock bullshit. If they are ready then fking play them. And yes I know I live in an alternate universe.

Honestly though since Morris is out and Morgan has become a legit bullpen weapon plus Pilk is up cause of Civale injury, we really are on number 9 in the depth chart. Myers is working on things, so it was between Battenfield and McCarty. McCarty essentially got the nod because he is a lefty and we just DFA'D Logan Allen. I think it's the right move by the organization by selecting McCarty over Battenfield in a non-contention season.
 
McCarty survives a leadoff inf hit and a drive to the wall that Mercado caught....in an 11 pitch inning.

on paper we are at best a wild card team... I cannot call that a contention season in my mind. They will do a few moves that are more focused on long term than we would like.
 
This team definitely leads the league in errant throws in the dirt

There is too many "Ifs" for us right now. Talent though for a long playoff run in 23 and on is very probable, just 22 may be too soon for it.
