If they send Miller down then Naylor is the only player on the roster who ever played first base, unless they want to bring Yu Chang back). And Naylor needs days off.

I suppose they could hand Clement a first baseman's mitt and let him take a stab at it.

I'd convert Jones to 1B for next year. You couldn't throw the ball over or around him and he's had years of practice fielding ground balls.

Nolan has had as much or more experience at 1B than Miller prior to being put there out of necessity. They could call Fry up as well.
