Naylor was having some back issues in one of his at-bats last night and there's a left-handed pitcher going so it seems like a good time to give him a day off.

Nolan Jones has an abysmal track record hitting lefties in the minors (IIRC) so sitting him also makes sense.

The Rays have an extremely weak batting order outside of Yandy and Ji-Man. Hopefully Bieber will shut them out for 6-7 innings while we scrape together a run or two and the bullpen slams the door.

The fact that they are 53-46 in baseball's toughest division (no team under .500) with that lineup tells me their pitching is REALLY good. Other than the 1, 3, and 4 hitters there's not much to worry about. Their 6-9 hitters have a combined 45 RBI's.

Bieber has been more effective against lefties this year so he needs to be careful with Yandy, Arozarena, and Paredes.
