2023-24 Playoff Series #1 | Game #4 | Cavs @ Magic | April 27, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just worry that Dan was too messed-up by his stroke and the death of his son, to be a really attentive owner. If he’s absentee, he may need to sell the team. Which is sad, because he’s been one of the greatest owners in Cleveland sports history.

How long is that list?

It is pretty funny to me that Donovan's Utah Jazz was a better team top to bottom than the Cavs now.

Obviously from a coaching perspective. But the swift kick to the dick is Evan Mobley and Darius Garland being a flop.

I just don't know. I saw some great defense and, like last game, some nifty offensive plays from Mobley. He just hasn't put it all together yet (I still don't like him shooting threes).

DG is a head-scratcher.....just not sure all the pieces fit along with him. Like Caris, he seems capable of putting up 40 if you need it...but not actually when you need it.

Spoelstra noticed after game 1 the major issue his team had against a far superior opponent and next game had them taking more threes than they had in a long time. The adjustment was immediate and drastic.

Our 3 point attempts are dropping and we are generating worse looks as the series goes on.

I don't think any team can get stomped this bad in back-to-back second halves and win the series.

The one thing somebody said (Fedor?) that offers a sliver of hope is that the Magic are a very young team that performs extremely well at home but not even close on the road (18-23 in the regular season, 0-2 in the playoffs). Younger teams need the HCA much more than experienced teams, according to the theory.

If the Magic shoot 32% and 23% against the Cavs Tuesday then it will come down to Game 7 in Cleveland and we have a shot.

There is no reason why Cleveland cannot win game 5 at home, it would also swing the series right back to our favor... NBA Teams getting blasted 3 games in a row to the same team does not happen often... But who knows with this team...

If I read this correctly Cleveland has not scored more than 25 points plus in a quarter 10 of last 12 quarters yikes...This lack of shooting is a major problem...

If you’re surprised by this, you haven’t watched JBB coach for the past 3 years
Really respect your expert opinion when I ask this, is it really all mostly JBB? Is the roster/core salvageable with a (even half way) competent coach?

They front generate good looks so hence they don’t make them

It’s not a cop out for the players…

They know they are not being coached competently and it shows in how they regress each game as the opposition makes adjustments in all of these playoff games.

You’ve got a bunch of smart players who rightfully dont believe they are being put in a position to succeed.

I just compare the postseason success, Spida at least looked awesome with Utah, it's just when they advance throughout the opponent schemed Rudy to be unplayable. Utah was more of a fighter vs Cavs just being outplayed 6 times in 9 games. Then you have JBB leading our offense over 100 points 1/9 times.
