2023-24 Regular Season Thread II: March Toward Destiny

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There is an abnormal amount of woefully bad teams this season

Our 19 win teams would barely qualify for top 5 lottery odds this season

With 9 games left the Cavs must win all 9 to meet my prediction of 54 games.

Of course, that was made assuming no major injuries. Every starter has missed time this year.

I wonder if Mitchell people gave them some good vibes on him resigning, therefore giving them the green light to start some early exploring on moving Garland as it seems clear , Mitchell would be the better lead guard going forward after the season, and I’m sure Mitchell wants that too….

We're pretty thin against Denver if Porter and Okoro are out in addition to Wade. That leaves only Strus at small forward. LeVert can play the 3 when Strus sits, but that leaves only DG, DM, and Merrill at guard.

Also, I'm not sure either Strus or LeVert can guard Aaron Gordon, Denver's 6'8", 235 pound small forward. Maybe Niang gets the start. When we played them in November Bickerstaff started Dean Wade along with Mobley and Allen to counter Denver's size and physicality up front. It worked beautifully; Wade was a +25, Allen a +42, and Mobley a +12.

What the hell are those steals and blocks numbers lol.

5.6 stocks per game!!

Can't wait to see how his game translates.
I’m so excited about this guy. My only question right now is what position(s) can he defend in the NBA.

I think he might be sort of a gadget 4 man off the bench, and that could be a ton of fun.

I am guessing they push for win against the Jazz, Lakers on the western trip. Come home and sweep the last 3 if needed to lock a top 4 spot.
