2023-24 Season | Game #13 | Cavs @ Sixers | Nov. 21, 2023 | 7:30 p.m. | TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Chuck irritated me there. Yes, the Cavs were missing Mitchell, but I don't see the Cavs as inferior. He acted like the Sixers were playing the Pistons or something. The Cavs have the size in Allen, Mobley and Tristan to fight back against Flop and the boys. Like, no respect for how Mobley repeatedly beat their lazy bigs. And when are folks gonna give Strus some credit? Dude has been a bargain so far.
It was a bit contradictory to his opinion that the Cavs have the most talent in the East. Like, yes, the Cavs roster doesn’t make sense half of the time but we have depth and unique enough skill sets to match up with just about anyone.

I really wanna see what this team looks like with DG, Mitchell and Porter all getting minutes.

Maxey is a nice player, but I think he has learned too much about flopping from Embid and Harden. I saw many, many plays where he just flew himself into the defender looking to draw a foul.

I don't think I'd trade Garland or Mitchell for him.

Look man, we've gone through this for years with Okoro, who is a superior defensive player.

You don't win 90 point slugfests in the NBA anymore. Wade's 3 point percentage hasn't moved since he came into the league, which is a shame. If he'd improve at simply catching the ball and shooting it from his rookie season, he'd be a truly valuable piece. He hasn't, so he's an emergency lineup insert. He's filled in admirably, but he's not some revelation.
I don't know that Okoro is a superior defensive player. He doesn't really rebound and his height makes him less effective at thwarting the high PNR and guarding SFs.

As far as talent on the floor we WERE inferior. We had Merrill out there with Wade, Niang, Porter and TT. Red Auerbach couldn’t draw up plays for that group but Craig just killed it out there.

The reason we won last night is we had heart, balls, guts, sweat and poise under extreme pressure late. It was a truly glorious win. I was on the far end of the court watching DG shoot FTs at the death and I could see his relatively small frame against the backdrop of thousands of loud Sixers fans screaming for misses. He just calmly knocked them down.

We came. We saw. WE CONQUERED!

I LIVE for that shit! To come in shorthanded to a place where our bigs have been physically dominated and turn the tables on them was awesome. I couldn’t be happier with Jarrett and Evan. We’ve got to build on that.

This season (albeit in limited games), he’s rebounded as well as Wade per 36.

I agree when it comes to forwards, but I’d rather have Okoro than Wade against the Maxeys of the world.

Who would have ever thought Dean Wade could become a villain?

I’m waiting for ESPN to start flashing to people wearing shirts of Dean getting dunked on that say, “How’s your +/- now Dean?” and “comeback kid and explain yourself” with Dean turning down an open shot.

Announcers would be completely befuddled.
