2023-24 Season | Game #13 | Cavs @ Sixers | Nov. 21, 2023 | 7:30 p.m. | TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In the final two Cavs buckets, Porter went head on into Joel Embiid and won both times.

The contact absorbing hard earned layup from this clip and then the right at Embiid and the no look dime to Allen for the 8 foot push shot

So pissed I can’t replay this game on league pass
I did not realize he was a 5 year player in college, they made that comment comparing his age to Maxey's. You can totally tell he is not a kid out there...

I watched the "Every possession" version on League Pass. It was great -- took about half an hour and didn't have to watch the guards bring the ball up the court or watch any commercials.

We just did, and we can do it again, especially because Wade can rebound and Okoro can't. What people aren't appreciating is that: A) Wade can get hot and then it will be game over for the other team; B) Wade disrupts what the other team wants to do (the high PNR); and C) he's currently being officiated like he stole something.
Look man, we've gone through this for years with Okoro, who is a superior defensive player.

You don't win 90 point slugfests in the NBA anymore. Wade's 3 point percentage hasn't moved since he came into the league, which is a shame. If he'd improve at simply catching the ball and shooting it from his rookie season, he'd be a truly valuable piece. He hasn't, so he's an emergency lineup insert. He's filled in admirably, but he's not some revelation.

Crickets on the +25 against the NBA champs though!… And Dean had to play 21 minutes in the 2nd half for defense because Maxey and Embiid were on the floor so long…. And Dean is playing on an ankle sprain unlike a few of his teammates who seem not to want to do that.

The entire starting lineup had a great +/- against the Nuggets. Almost all of Wade's minutes came alongside Allen who finished +42.

Dean's great at going along for the ride and staying out of the way while finding ways to contribute. Let's stop acting like he's some engine making the car go. Embiid got whatever he wanted against him tonight when they matched up.

And maybe cool it with talking down to everyone who doesn't love your boy. You're a high school assistant (or a junior high coach, don't remember which), not some Popovich-esque hoops savant. Glad you help the kids and have had some success, but you're not on some other plane intellectually when it comes to hoops. Shit's exhausting and makes it even harder to take you seriously.

Dean plays within himself and generally makes a solid basketball decision. There is value in that. He's also not a player I want in my playoff rotation unless someone ahead of him gets hurt. That's OK.

Charles "Chuck" Barkley.. seems to believe the Cavs little players were instrumental in making the vastly superior Sixers have to adapt & change... play harder.. be aware they (the sixers) have a fight on their hands..

... this from commentary at the half..

Too bad for this former Sixer.. had to watch them fight back to even.. only to run out of gas at the end..

Cavs missing 4 or their 5 top guards.. & playing this well.. shows how resilient they are.. Craig Porter is a player and is stepping up when needed.. I just wish he could shoot a little better.. where is that Mark Price tutoring magic?..

T. Thompson was a -23 in a 12 point win against the Nuggets …Crickets …..Niang was a -12…… yeah but almost everybody was positive against the Nuggets. Lol. And they weren’t guarding the other teams best player all night. Is he making the car go? No he’s not if you’re the typical fan who looks at who scored the most total points. But yes he is if you understand the whole game of disrupting the other teams offense and wanting to win and not be worried about who’s taking the credit and being happy with winning and making your team and teammates better.

Chuck irritated me there. Yes, the Cavs were missing Mitchell, but I don't see the Cavs as inferior. He acted like the Sixers were playing the Pistons or something. The Cavs have the size in Allen, Mobley and Tristan to fight back against Flop and the boys. Like, no respect for how Mobley repeatedly beat their lazy bigs. And when are folks gonna give Strus some credit? Dude has been a bargain so far.
