2023-24 Season | Game #48 | Kings @ Cavs | Feb. 5, 2023 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The game usually isn't just boiled down to one stat, but today it kind of was: Kings shot 17-43 from 3, we shot 23-41 from 3. In the prior 3 matchups we couldn't keep pace when Sacramento would go on their hot streaks from outside; now we not only kept pace, but steadily increased the lead through the game.

Satisfaction! A great, great win. We played well offensively and defensively.

7 players in double figures.

I can’t think of another 15-game regular season stretch that has been this fun. Maybe during the 66-win season in 08-09? It’s just been an absolute blast.
There was a time in 86-87 when we had Daugherty, Price, and we started the season 16-4. That was like this.

Was doing some work while I watched the game tonight. What a good distraction to have. Some of the best ball movement I’ve seen all year.
ah yes, doing work of any sort while the Cavs are crushing it. Makes it so much easier to be working at night. Until you get distracted after the game and hop on RCF.

Even if we make 17 3s, we still win by 8!

Individual stats. And they're yummy!

Starters:
Strus 22-5-2 with 2 steals in 26 minutes. 8-13 fg, 6-10 from 3 Efficient!
Mobley 11-14-7 2 steals and a block in 28 minutes. Productive!
Allen 19-7-3 with 2 blocks in 29 minutes. 8-10 fg
Mitchell 29-2-5 with 2 steals in 33 minutes Ho-hum, another Mitchell game.
Garland 11-2-5 in 27 minutes. Working his way back to full recovery.

Bench: 44-15-14 in 24 minutes.
Wade 6-5-2 in 15 minutes. Plus good defense
Okoro 10-0-0 with 2 steals and a block in 25 minutes. I think Fox knows he was defended tonight.
LeVert 17-6-7 with a steal in 24 minutes. Mr. Everything. Vert's going to Vert
Niang 2-3-2 in 15 minutes. Off night, but we survived it.
Merrill 9-0-2 with a steal. in 11 minutes.
Porter 0-0- in 3 minutes
Jones 0-1-1 with a block in 3 minutes.

Well JBB’s job is safe for another week. We were just a day late to get him ASG coach but Doc isn’t taking his team anywhere this year except to another exit before the Finals.

Niang on the postgame tonight ….definitely a future in broadcasting ….maybe a present :chuckle: . He’s had a rough few games but can get hot , too and can be a weapon
