2023-24 Season | Game #58 | Cavs @ Bulls | Feb. 28, 2024 | 8:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just a straight up choke by Mitchell in the FT.

Allen with 4 RBs; Drummond with 26. Hope TT is hitting the weights to compensate for lack of juice cuz he will be needed.

Yeah, I called the Allen thing out in real time. Sure, I think that was a mistake. I don’t think it’s the main reason the Cavs lost the game.

What is “shortening the rotation” referring to? The bench got more run tonight than last night. Y’all are saying these things but the facts don’t actually support them. I know you want to see Merrill play, but at whose expense?

You think the Cavs should have closed the game with Okoro and Wade? Cmon man. The second unit did its job, but that doesn’t mean you leave them in the whole quarter.

Not calling the timeout was strange, but we watched them turn the ball over on an ATO last night. It’s not some horrible offense to let Mitchell run the offense for a game winner in a tie game.
Too many examples of mismanagement by the coaching staff given the situation. JBB deserves 95 percent of blame for this loss

“I don’t think the Cavs are in a great place right now…they’re having trouble with their lineups,” - @WindhorstESPN on the Cavs since the All-Star break.

This is all the coach. He’s an idiot
I bet Windy watches a lot of NBA games and especially Cavs games these days...

Donovan with 4 at the half was a BAD omen. It was almost like he wasn't there tonight.
Horrendous game rebounding (going to the rant page so I can say what I need to say).
Bulls misses always were in spots where no Cavs were around to pick it up.
Horrific foul late on the griftiest member of the Bulls.
Wasted DG, LeVert, Okoro (Mobley?) masterclass.
Hated that Vuc/Bummond lineup so much. All Bummond does is camp out in the paint and somehow not get called for 3 seconds.

The coach himself called himself out during the all star break only to see the rotations continue to suck

I disagree. Second night of a back to back with half the team hung over and JBB plays Mitchell and Garland damn near 50 minutes. Okoro needed more minutes. Wade needed more minutes. Merrill needed ANY minutes. Don't run your players into the ground then expect them to perform in double OT. How can you not see that?
The coach should have planned for double overtime? Am I understanding this right?

Let’s be factual rather than hyperbolic. Garland and Mitchell each played 44 minutes in a double overtime game. That’s pretty standard. Chicago also played a back to back and their starters played more. White logged 50, Dosunmu 48, and Derozan 48. When you add 10 minutes to an NBA game, starters’ minutes go up.

Okoro played 24 minutes. Wade played more tonight than he has in a week. The Cavs played 9 dudes 10 or more minutes. The Cavs’ bench played a combined 88 minutes to the Bulls’ 66.

And yet, when it mattered most, the Bulls’ starters out performed the Cavs’. Donovan Mitchell choked at the free throw line. Jarrett Allen choked defensively.

SM sitting on the bench as our team needs fresh legs is a firable offense, seriously what is wrong with JBB, its like he is mentally challenged in his use of players

They choked because they where dead tired, its so hard to shoot free throws properly when you are wiped out.

JBB will give the excuse that SM didn't play the whole game that is why he didn't use him in OT, but SM has shown to be able to get off the bench and shoot darts immediately so its a stupid excuse

Cavs didnt take this one seriously, were exhausted on the 4th game in 5 nights (and after emotional win lat night) and allowed themselves to be completely manhandled.

They had no right to be int he game. Derozan had more FTs than the entire Cavs team. Vooch and Drummond had as many rebounds as the entire Cavs team. In a game where they were tired they leaned AWAY from depth.

They deserve this loss. JB and the Cavs are a Strus miracle from being 2-5 in their last 8. This is not a particularly good basketball team right now. And they haven't even started the tough section of the schedule.

Which Bulls player does Sam Merrill defend in that game? You have 3 options in White, Dosunmu, and Derozan.

We think Sam should have been in the closing group? Because the second unit played great without him…

Oh come on Derozan duh...

The Bulls were playing under the same circumstances. Funny how their players didn’t choke. Gosh, they should have been so exhausted, right?
