2023-24 Season | Game #62 | Cavs @ Hawks | March 6, 2024 | 7:30 p.m.

Nah guys. No excuses.

The Cavs are 4-5 since the All-Star break, with one Strus 59-footer and one Tatum foul reversal from being 2-7. Four of those losses were against teams [Philly, Chicago, NY, and now Atlanta] just as banged up as the Cavs are. Two of those wins were against two of the worst teams in the league [Detroit and Washington].

I'm not sure what this means. Bottom line is that ultimately this team isn't as good as we wish for it to be. Like when I hear people say "we have to hold this team accountable", what does that actually mean? What are supposed to do, ground them and take away their phone? Dock their allowance?

Or when people said before the Celtics game, "Cavs should just take the L"...what do you want them to do, start our G-League team? Forfeit?

It's a suggestion to not fool ourselves into thinking this team would be as we wish it to be if not for player injuries, back to back fatigue etc.,. Many opposing teams from the last nine games had the same problems and Cavs lost nonetheless.
