2023-24 Season | Game #62 | Cavs @ Hawks | March 6, 2024 | 7:30 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Andre Drummond has made $143,432,017 so far; I’m sure he’s getting by. Also, he’s 12th in rebounds all-time in the NBA

Merrill was awful. I appreciate him not being shy, but I'm guessing your odds of winning are very small when you have a guy shoot 0-9 from 3.

CPJ was very good, so naturally he plays reduced minutes. No need to give a guy with fresh legs more run on the 2nd night of a back to back. Much better to overplay a gassed Levert who played like shit down the stretch.

I never thought I'd see the day that I'd straight-faced say I'd move Garland before Okoro. I don't know what the deal is with Garland, but we are in big, big trouble if he doesn't take his game up several notches before the playoffs. He had a couple big nights hitting 3s last week, but his floor game and control of the offense right now is ugly. His play in the final minutes is almost catastrophic. Is he banged up? Afraid of getting banged up?

He is like the basketball equivalent of a running back that's always trying to turn a solid gain into a homerun by running east/west until he gets dropped for a loss. Just make the easy plays. Be direct. Look at what Porter did tonight and do that, but sprinkle in your 3 point shot making.

Your sentiments perfectly align with mine on all points. Things change. Okoro is a keeper and Garland is a bleeper :chuckle:

I’m totally ready to move Garland and Mobley for the best possible lengthy wing.

Mitchell-Okoro-AS SF-Wade-Allen

is an awesome starting 5, especially in the hands of a different coach.
I'd like to see this team with a playoff-experienced coach before the core is broken up.

Disappointing loss considering we pulled even for a good stretch in the 4th quarter; and considering a win would’ve pulled us into a tie with the Bucks for now (with a chance to take sole possession of 2nd if the Warriors beat them later tonight)

Every single player bricking shots tonight and garland, from the usual posters, gets all the blame.

Wish he made Okoro, Niang, and Levert hit their wide open 3s in the 4th. Every single player besides maybe Allen had a hand in the loss.

We are on to Minnesota.

No they did not play well in the 4th. Fell down 95-93 and JB panicked. Except Garland and LeVert had nothing in the tank.

This one was very winnable but the Cavs were 10-for-44 from deep. Merrill was 0-for-9. I've never seen him shoot that bad. And Wade quickly turned into a pumpkin going 1-for-6.

That win over Boston took a lot out of them. They were right there at the end of the 4th quarter but ran out of gas. They were 0-for-11 on 3's in the 4th quarter while Bey and Bogdanovic hit 3's down the stretch (three of them in the last 5:05).

The Cavs need to stop dribbling the ball behind the backboard and trying to pass to the corner. Those passes are so obvious they are easily intercepted.

The Hawks relentlessly attacked Garland and Niang on offense. As a team they shot 51% despite losing Johnson in the 2nd quarter. Johnson was a +12 in 19 minutes when he sprained his ankle. That's the only reason the Cavs mounted a comeback.

Bogdanovic had 23 points in 34 minutes working on Garland mostly. And Bey had 23 points on 14 shots as he bulled his way through LeVert to the rim.

The Cavs were down 3 with 3:33 to play but were outscored 10-2 the rest of the way. They failed to score after Okoro's steal and dunk with 2:22 left. Three missed shots (2 by Garland) and a turnover (also Garland).

Nice to see Porter play well but we needed Merrill to make 3 or 4 of those 9 threes he missed. That would have given us the lead in the final two minutes.

So important they find a coach like Kerr

Need a guy that looks at 1-12 can help on any given night. Develops and play a 10 man every night.

One of the things that drove me crazy when we would play Golden State. Kerr always had great rotations and gave his stars rest. His bench was always ready to produce when called upon.

Kerr also gets his team buckets out of timeouts

Absolutely essential the team plays 1-10 because they don’t have a LeBron, Giannis to run everything through

Cavs now 4-5 over their last 9, with losses to the depleted Sixers, depleted Knicks, the Magic and 2 sub .500 teams in the Hawks and Bulls. And….2 of those wins came from a miraculous 60 point shot at the buzzer and a miraculous 20 point 4th quarter explosion by Dean Wade ….otherwise you’re looking at 2-7

Yeah dipper. Mitchell got hurt in the most intense part of the season. I mean, Garland is one of the worst b/b guys in the nba. He always does better with rest. It's why JB is a clown.

Unfortunately, not always easy to find
