his weak-ass move from OKC to the Warriors will always be a cloud over his career. You don't just leave a team that was up 3-1 in the Conference finals to go to the team that beat you without looking weak. Leaving the Thunder isn't what killed his reputation, it was where he went.KD has to have one of the largest discrepancies between his on-court product and legacy. Up there with Karl Malone and Anthony Davis.
I don't have a problem with a minimum number of games, but only missing 17 out of an 82 game schedule is a pretty high bar.
That's about 20%, I disagree. If you miss 20% of the season, you shouldn't be eligible for diddly.I don't have a problem with a minimum number of games, but only missing 17 out of an 82 game schedule is a pretty high bar.
I don’t have a strong opinion one way or the other; however, I kind of lean towards not having a requirement and letting the voters simply decide on the body of work and hopefully they’ll take into consideration the amount of games missed. Off of the top of my head, I can’t recall any player winning an MVP while only playing half of a season for example.I don't have a problem with a minimum number of games, but only missing 17 out of an 82 game schedule is a pretty high bar.
I think it ought to be set at 60 games. Its too demanding of a profession to think guys that play the heaviest minutes, which is who this effects, won't get hurt a couple of times per year. Donovan is a great example - if he comes back soon and plays the rest of the way, he has more than done enough on the court to be eligible for honors this year. That's about 20%, I disagree. He’s listed as out on the official NBA reportI just saw on Yahoo Sports that Donovan is not on the injury list for today's game. Can anyone verify that?
