Awesome report, Brew. Yeah, Maxey plays with fire and tremendous skill. I love his game.
The Cavs realize they need to win some more games and so far this year they've always bounced back strong after laying an egg, and boy did they lay one against Charlotte. Strus was unsparing in his criticism. "Nobody wanted to play defense tonight". Bickerstaff had some strong words in practice yesterday I'm sure.
But the Sixers are fighting to get out of the play-in tournament and just got screwed out of a win two nights ago so they will be fired up as well. I'm expecting two very motivated teams going at it tonight. Should be really entertaining.
Jarrett Allen is averaging 23.7 points and 10.7 rebounds against the Sixers in three games. In the two games without Embiid he's 19-for-29. He's too big for Reed to handle. The Cavs need to feed him tonight.
Darius is averaging 24.3 points and 8.7 assists in three games against the Sixers and Donovan got 36 points in his one game. When 38-year-old Kyle Lowry is in the game either Garland or Mitchell needs to blow by him and get to the paint, or just shoot 3's over his 6'0" frame if he sags off.
The Cavs are averaging 113.3 points per game against Philly this year so if they hit 113 tonight they should win. Philly is averaging just 103 ppg in their last 15 games.
In their three games against the Sixers the Cavs are averaging 30 assists. They need to keep that going.
