Not having a pick for a while kind of sucks.

Remember the year we didn’t pick until the 4th round and we took Beau Bell and there was so much hype around him?

And he sucked so terribly ?

Good times good times.

"And the Dawg Pound is happily draining its flasks. Phooey on the future. The Browns are going for broke. They were 10-6 last year and traded their top three picks in this year’s draft in exchange for quarterback Brady Quinn, defensive tackle Corey Williams and defensive tackle Shaun Rodgers."

I think we've all tried to forget...

Ahtyba Rubin was a very solid player for us for a while at least.

He would of been, but Ridley is owed 11 mill this year, really a good deal for his production but about 10 million more than Moore. Also Ridley has only 1 more year on his current contract vs 2 more years for Moore. Both factors. Also Ridley is 7 years older than Moore.

But if you are just looking at Ridley vs Moore with no other factors, I agree RIdley is the better receiver. But More cost us allot less both with the draft capital spent and with the money spent and has a year less of team control.

I am happy with Moore, but if they thought Ridley was worth it, would of been happy with him too.

I believe @Triplethreat has said something in the past to the effect of the salary cap being meaningless, not mattering, easily ignored, etc.. So if he believes that, he's impervious to any arguments relating to compensation.

Obviously, if he doesn't believe that, then I'm wrong and I apologize. But I think that's what he has said in the past.

I feel like that dude flip flops on if he thinks the cap is a myth or not.

I don’t even think it’d be an argument for Andrew Berry weighing that. If he had the opportunity to get Ridley right now for a 2 and a 5 he’d have done it over Moore.

Kind of a pointless argument but I’m still excited to see Moore in this offense.
No, Calvin Ridley is owed over 11 mil this season. We wouldn't have went for him just like we didn't go for Hopkins or Cooks

edit: so many of these moves make more sense if you just think of a players value in terms of value per dollar, especially in the Browns current situation. It's why a better player is worth less in trade a lot of times

Okay, just checked to make sure I didn't misrepresent it.

Bro I said the salary cap doesn't exist and everyone roasted me hahaha.

Goodness the way people have flipped script.

And I don't think I did.

I'm sure he's going to go somewhere he can start--but I'd still kick the tires on Fluker to solidify the swing tackle (or even first backup guard) spot on this roster. He'd be a tremendous get. He'd be cheap, and he'd make me feel a lot better about our offensive line depth.

Lookin really jacked baybay.
