Kwan is better suited for CF if they have to get Oscar and Gonzalez in the same line-up without using the DH for either. Yet, Bell is gone in 1 or 2 years and Noel/Pries would have to take over 1st for Naylor for this issue to occur. In my mind, LF- Kwan, CF - Halpin/Brennan/Straw, RF - Valera/Oscar DH -- other loser. If 3 guys can't hit well enough for center in this list ... nor Kwan good enough to play CF ... then we have bigger issue than where Valera plays but he is not our CF

Kwan.
2021 - 45 in 71 games in CF
2019 - 91 in 107 games
2022 - 4 games start (3 more finished for 7)
If you're going to move Kwan to CF then you're reducing his defensive value too. I'm not sure what the right answer is, but I'm not willing to say that Valera is not our CFer just yet. Even though that may be true.

If OGon continues performing the way he always has then Valera will not be playing RF. We won't even get into the fact that Tito is considering giving Naylor some reps out there occasionally.
be serious... you don't take a baseball bat to RF..you take a leather glove..

It's not too soon to trade anyone if the return is desired. Here we are again, we have to know what the return is before we can pass judgement. I will say this much, Cal's value far exceeds what BTV has him at. I mean he's creeping on 400 inning of very good results. The problem is their metrics don't like how he has obtained them. I'm not moving him just to move him, that's for damn sure.
We all agree improving the SP is a need. The way to do that is to weed out the subpar pitchers. But Quantril is not that bad. He's a MOR guy, and nothing wrong with that.
I still think a vet like Kluber would be just what the Dr. ordered.

Oh, did OGon not take a glove to RF when he played out there nearly every day after being called up? I must have missed that.

Yes.. he took a glove to RF for what reason, it's hard to say.. He's a BAD RF'er..

BAD.. as in he's not able to play the position at a level that is needed..

You're correct.. you must have missed it..

Edit: Zips projection: George Valrea? Dwight Evans (as in underrated could potentially be a Hall of Famer Dwight Evans). Give me more.

Feel like the 1+1 player option deals are extra prevalent this offseason.

Carrasco plus a prospect for Plesac, sounds like a good deal for the Mets lol

If someone like Luzardo or Lopez were to be added, sliding Cal to the #4 spot would be even more optimal. He's been absolutely solid for us even if unspectacular. He's a rock.
