Btw, everyone is so eager to pencil Gimenez in among the all-time 2B records...

I wouldn't put it past our organization to lock this all-star 2B up at premium 2B rates.. that just so happen to be bargain SS rates, and then let him transition back over to short if that's what serves the organization best.

Whether it was warranted in the past or not, present day actions change held beliefs.

Given the deals of the past 12 months: Ramirez, Clase, Straw, Giminez, Bell + the extensions that may follow this week and next Spring training, I don't think there are any national writers pushing that old narrative any longer, nor are there many fans still claiming that. If/when we next trade someone away vs. extending them(Bieber perhaps), it will only be the casuals(and only a few of those) and the non fans who just like to take shots, that make those claims.
