2023 Season | Series #30 | Guardians @ Rangers | July 14-16, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am OVER them not playing Tyler Freeman....

Rosario vs. Freeman here we go

Tyler's 2023 line:
bWAR 0.5, OPS+112, fWAR 0.4, wRC+111

29726511206004304110.3080.3520.4000.7522611110

Amed's 2023 line:
bWAR -0.4, OPS+ 90, fWAR -0.3 wRC+75
GPAABRH2B3BHRRBISBCSBBSOBAOBPSLGOPSTBGDPHBPSHSFIBB

Wonder how many more games we would win if Tyler was the one playing?...

That may not be 100% true...
Not even saying I agree with it but that was just where I found out that Oscar wasn't getting called up, was more just sharing the news

Personally I think the need for getting Straw out of the lineup is very overhyped but I do think that if Oscar can be halfway decent he can provide a late inning bat/lefty matchup or even start out in the game and then get squeezed out by Straw later occasionally and this would be an improvement over what we're running out there currently.

How the fuck ARE things decided on this team?
Good question lol. I feel like with roster moves, they generally have them planned out well in advance and aren't likely to change them. But honestly I was probably too sarcastic about that because it does seem like they do rely on really low sample size evaluations sometimes in places that don't make sense.

Rosario since June 1st (32 games, 148 PAs). .319/.358/.413/.771. This is what Tito was talking about earlier in the season.
Barely better than Freeman's complete season stats: .308/.352/.400

Last 28 days for Freeman -
.364.440.455.895

I know you're not advocating here, just wanted to point out Freeman is ready to go. It's time to move on from Amed once and for all.

I think Freeman is ready, too, but you realize you're talking about 22 at bats here, right? Even his complete season is less than 1/2 the at bats Rosario had since June 1. While I think Freeman should play more I don't think we'll improve our offense by removing Rosario while he's in one of his typical hot streaks.
